THE AUTUMN MEME

It's that time of year again; Autumn.
Whether it's raking the leaves or running to Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice Latte,

the season is back upon us and it's time to enjoy it before winter comes.
 

Scenarios: 
Look at all the pretty colors - Maybe you just feel like strolling down the street and looking at all the leaves turning colors. Maybe you're shopping for something to fit in with the autumn theme. Or you could be setting up an easel to try to capture how the trees look like they're on fire. Just enjoy the turning shades.

I didn't agree to be in this movie - Yes, it's that time again, fog time. It can be creepy or beautiful or both and guess what? You're trapped in it. Are you alone? Are you at home looking out the windows, or stuck somewhere waiting for it to clear so you can drive? Maybe you're walking home late at night and the fog is as creepy as hell and was that the sound of someone sharpening an axe?

Something to warm the cockles - Coffee house prompt. You want your pumpkin spice latte and you want it now. Or maybe you want extra nutmeg. Or maybe someone made a pumpkin cheesecake and you want the line to move faster before someone gets the last piece. You're in a coffee house and there's coffee. Have fun with that.

I just raked that - Yes, it's lawncare time. You've been ordered to clean up your yard and make nice efficient piles. Or maybe you're strolling down the street and you happen to see a nice pile just begging you to jump in. Or push your friend. Or maybe someone's dog or cat is hiding in one and is ready to jump out and scare the crap out of you. Only one way to find out.

But it's only so many days until Halloween - Oh. You're one of those. The ones that love Halloween and start setting things up as soon as there's a slight briskness to the air. Well, time to go shopping. Or maybe you need to start setting up the decorations in the window. Or the yard. Or buying candy to appease the inevitable hordes. Halloween comes but once a year, so get ready for it while you can.

Wildcard - There are plenty of autumn activities to do. Make some up on your own, be it strolling with a friend or curling up with someone special and enjoying something sweet

[ Gabriel, on the other hand, was early. Sat at a table with a coffee in front of him, he's outwardly calm. Internally, though...he's jittering with nerves. He had no idea how Kaiba would react-

Okay, no - he had some idea. He just wasn't looking forward to seeing it.

He doesn't need to turn around to know that the person who just walked in is the guy he's waiting for, but he still does all the same, giving Kaiba a nod of acknowledgement as he joins him.]

[This was really happening. It felt as though it should have been a dream. But if Yugi had managed to awaken an ancient spirit of a previous incarnation from an artefact puzzle and fought some dark entity from another dimension was the concept of lycanthropy really all that far-fetched?

He nodded at Gabe, trying to maintain some element of composure whilst his mind was doing theoretical backflips.]

I hope you're not one for performance anxiety.

[He offered a small smirk, something to offer a little bit of levity. Gabe was probably as worried as he was.]

[ Gesturing for Kaiba to join him, Gabe returns the smirk, albeit a little nervously. ]

Well, it's not like it'll make much of a difference if I am; it pretty much happens regardless of where I am or who I'm with.

[As easy as it was to laugh this entire thing off... he can't ignore how awkward Gabe is coming off. Why would he be so nervous about it?]

It's not as though you'll tear my face off. You can't be nervous because of my scepticism.

Oh no, I know - If you're still sceptical afterwards then you're a worse liar than I am.

I'm nervous because I don't like anyone seeing it happen - it's...painful, to put it lightly, and I think you can probably understand that one of the worst times to have eyes on you is when you're weak like that.

[ He doesn't say it accusingly, quite the opposite. Almost like he's hoping he won't have to explain himself further, like Kaiba will understand. ]

[Alright, rude. Kaiba narrows his eyes, conceding the point. If he is telling the truth then he's deliberately putting himself in a vulnerable state for him. Not quite what he'd planned for.]
