FOOLING AROUND Somewhere further than making out yet not quite going all the way, "fooling around" is a time honored tradition. It's easy, low-pressure, and there are no real parameters - above the clothes or not. Sound good? Maybe you're young and want to try but not commit to anything too carnal. Similarly, you could want to explore somebody's, well, body because they're so different than you. There's also the possibility that you want to make them happy or see how they react to feeling beyond great. Could it be that you're a tease, even? Or you could just be bored. There's nothing on TV, anyway. Comment with your character, info, preferences (gender, age appropriate characters only, etc), and hard limits (no smut, fade to black, graphic smut a-okay, etc.). ( time passes slowly, but it passes. people come, people leave. people venture beyond the dome and come back, people venture beyond the dome and die. people stay within the safety of their little artificial bubble in the middle of the apocalypse and pretend to thrive, but people also die inside the walls. political uprisings swell, sickness sweeps through the streets. some just can't handle the stress of it anymore and are never heard from again. a few talk of returning home, but home is such a foreign concept now. four years knee deep in fighting zombies kind of blows a six months of dealing with various supernatural creatures out of the water.

it's also plenty of time to get good at killing dysthropes. because the mission objective has split: some are still searching for a cure, but their findings are never conclusive and most have turned to brute force in an attempt to reclaim land outside of the sanctum. those who march out to search and to fight are lauded as heroes coming back from war, but this had been lydia's twelfth exploration outside and she still doesn't feel very victorious. frustrated, more so, and sulking in it for the entirety of the slow walk back to the apartments in jim's shadow — because that's what you do when all of your friends disappear without so much as a goodbye; make new ones and follow them everywhere.

I think I missed my birthday, ( lydia announces after they're inside, once the outer layers of mud, rain, and carnage slicked survival gear have been shed. somewhere off in the depths of the apartment is a bed that beckons, promises warmth and comfort and some semblance of normalcy after a week and a half of bed rolls and high tension. but the couch is closer and she's tired, sore, maybe just a little bitter. so that gradually wearing sofa is where she inevitably flops to unlace damp boots. )

Is that sad?

[ At first Eggsy had thought pretending to be married to Roxy for a mission would be awkward. This was his best friend, after all. Not once during their training did he have a romantic thought about her - he was just glad to have a friend.

He's always known Roxy to be attractive - he'd have to blind not to notice. The first time he saw her in a Kingsman suit, he may have silently uttered fuck me at how good she looked. In retrospect, he's probably been in denial about how attracted he is to her for the sake of their friendship.

There's only so much arms around each other and words they can say in public to appear married before they need to prove it. Eggsy waits for the awkwardness to come when their first kiss ensues but surprisingly it doesn't come, at least not on Eggsy's end. It makes sense for Roxy to be a good kisser like everything else she's good at. For the rest of the night while collecting valuable information from their target, they share more kisses for appearance's sake. And maybe it's Eggsy's imagination but a couple of times those kisses don't feel necessary but he has Roxy in his lap anyway and Merlin sighing in their ears through their hidden earpieces.

When Merlin has dismissed them for the evening after gathering their intel, telling them to relax for the night and check in for a briefing in the morning, Eggsy can't help but wonder how much better the evening could get if he and Roxy pretended to be married in their hotel room, too... ]

Alright, wifey? [ He says to her in the lift traveling up to their hotel room (it's funny because they both hate that pet name). It's a classy hotel, even the lift looks better than the room he grew up in. He loosens the tie around his neck. ] Fancy orderin' room service? Feel a bit peckish m'self.
