A. LOVE. Perhaps the life of someone you love was hanging in the balance and you made a deal with the devil to save them. Or perhaps the person you love was the one who enticed you to the dark side to begin with…

B. REVENGE. Something was done to you that you can never forgive. They took something that was precious to you; they twisted you beyond repair. Now you’re hellbent on getting them back and you’ll stop at nothing to do it.

C. CURIOSITY. You just wanted to know. To know the limits of what was possible: science or magic or simply the truth. But what you discovered set you down a path you couldn’t turn back from.

D. COERCION. You never wanted this, but your hand was forced. Someone or something had a degree of control over you that you couldn’t deny, and you had no choice but to take the actions that damned you.

E. POWER. You’ve wrenched it from the grasps of others. Perhaps even for a reason that you convinced yourself was right, at first: to save people, or achieve some other idealistic goal. But now that you’re in charge, things are getting out of control.

F. PRAGMATISM. It’s nothing personal. Perhaps amassing riches is all you’ve always been interested in. Or perhaps becoming a villain was merely the easiest way to survive. In any case, you’re only doing what makes sense.

G. ANARCHY. Well, why not? Fuck this shit. You’ve finally become disillusioned with the false, corrupt morals and laws of society, and the only path of action left to you is to bring the whole system crashing down around our ears.

H. OTHER. In the world we live in, there sure are a hell of a lot of reasons why someone might decide to make less-than-ethical choices.

scenarios.

1. BETRAYAL. This is it. The moment where you reveal your true alignment. Perhaps you’re finally showing your long-hidden nature as a turncoat, or perhaps this is just the latest in a long line of decisions that led you here. Either way, the people around you are sure to react strongly..

2. DOUBT. Do you ever have your doubts about the path you’ve taken? There are things you’ve had to do that you might wish hadn’t been necessary. Who do you talk to when these thoughts haunt you? What strengthens your resolve?

3. CONFRONTATION. You’re face to face with someone you used to know. Someone from before. Are they your enemy now? Your prisoner? A former friend, a former lover? What are you going to say when they call you out on your crimes?

4. JUSTICE. Karma has finally come back to bite you in the ass. It’s time to pay up. The good guys have captured you, or you’re about to be punished for your crimes, or maybe you just finally realized the full consequences of your actions. Are you unrepentant, or is that a hint of regret we see?

5. REDEMPTION. All things come full circle, but you certainly burned some bridges along the way. What can you do to prove you’ve given up villainy? What awaits you when you finally manage to regain the trust of those you betrayed?

6. HOT SEXY VILLAINOUS LUST AND SHIPPING. Please. Everyone knows bad guys do it better.

7. OTHER. If you’re going to be a villain, at least be a creative one.

Matt doesn't register, really, that what he's doing now blurs the lines of his former, stead fast morals. All he knows is that Danny asks him to do something, and he does it. Without question, without hesitation, and damned to hell if he doesn't like it.

Together, they're a force to be reckoned with. Even Elektra's sect of the Hand can't match them, let alone the little league crime lords sprinkled throughout the city. It's enough for Matt that he doesn't even need the day job. Not really. Danny's got more than enough for them, and when Matt gets bored, Danny's got a few side jobs that can take some ease off Rand's legal team.

It's a pretty charmed life.

[Niles, after Xander's cruel and unfortunate ruling thanks to the corruption, is one of the last few people standing in the castle. Many of the servants left. Many others have started to leave Nohr thanks to how he was so terribly destroyed mentally by Anakos.

And Niles... he enjoyed it far too much. He couldn't explain why. Just the raw power that he had turned him on a ridiculous amount.

Okay let's do a killswitch AU for some generic murdergame

[The body had been discovered in the hallways, with their bloodied weapon lying next to them. However, it seemed that whoever killed them had done so by bashing their head into the ground repeatedly. A few bloodstained feathers were also found While there didn't seem to be any blood trails, eventual investigation revealed signs of the floor being cleaned recently, with the cleaning trails leading to the medical room. There were more signs of cleaning there, as well as many missing bandages. A search for cleaning supplies uncovered a singed formerly-wet sponge lying in the incinerator, and an empty bottle of cleaning fluid hidden behind said incinerator. The incinerator also had some melted lumps lying in it, and smelt of burning hair.

It had been pointed out that the incinerator was closer to Eliza's room, and she'd acted quite upset when this was pointed out. She'd demonstrated that there were no wounds on her lower torso, arms, or legs, and then been asked to transform into her alternate form.]

See? No blood here, either! [She spins around, just to show off the complete lack of bloodstains. Her wings in this form also look just fine, no brokenness or missing feathers.] I'd never hunt down and kill someone like that! My family would be disappointed in me if I did! [She pauses to cough. She's been doing that a lot since the start of the investigation. And people standing near her might have started to smell iron and hear dripping with no sign of where it's coming from. What was her title again? Phantasmal, was it...?]
