LET ME TEACH YOU MEME Everyone has something to offer. Everyone has at least one skill they can teach someone else, be it rocket science, impeccable baking, or kindness. This meme is to encourage both canon-mate and cross-canon tagging by having characters offer a skill they can teach in their top level and then instruct the characters that reply to them. It can be a fun learning experience for everyone! As they say, sometimes the teacher can learn from the student. An example format for a comment subject line would be this: CHARACTER NAME | CANON | SUBJECT THEY CAN TEACH. • Top level your character. Hands on his hips, Davis surveys the track before him. This shouldn't be a big deal. A little moving, a little sweating. It's not like he hasn't clocked plenty of time doing both back in his paramedic days. There was a time when he even enjoyed the motion, he thinks. Getting out, being around people. Being useful.

No, it shouldn't be a big deal at all. It shouldn't, but--

"Are you sure this is a good idea?"

Letting his hands drop, he considers the shorter man beside him. Even in that armor, Davis isn't reassured. If the beast decided to come out and play it would crush his new friend here like a used-up beer can, armor and all.

He doesn't envy this man. Someone up in his chain of command must want the guy dead, to assign him this detail. A cell in solitary was where the agent retrieved him from and a cell in solitary was most certainly where he should have stayed. Even this taste of freedom is a risk with the monster he's got inside of him.

"You can tell them it didn't work out. Tell them I was insubordinate, or whatever they call it in the UNSC. I won't contest it."

He's trying to give this man an out. He can only hope, for his sake, that he takes it.

Matt makes the mistake of rescuing the wrong guy. He has no idea that the guy about to get mugged? So it turns out he wasn't in any danger at all.

In fact, he'd been holding back, keeping his mouth shut, biting the urge to just bark out to the two thugs waving a knife and a gun with the safety still stuck on to take a hike and not stop until their feet fall off. It's something of a rare adrenaline rush for someone like Kilgrave: he lets himself get backed up against a wall, tolerates the first guy waving the knife around until the same threats over and over get dull. The guy with the gun finally remembers to click the safety off.

That's where Matt sweeps in. It's easy. These aren't trained professionals and they definitely aren't anywhere close to the Hand. Takes only a few seconds, the air filled with the crack of his armored fists and knees meeting some faces and ribs until the two muggers drop, unconscious and bleeding. He turns toward the guy he just saved, unaware that he's got the massively bad luck to meet one of the most dangerous men in the world.

"You okay?" Matt faces him, chin tilted up. Far as he can tell, he isn't bleeding.
