Leto had adjusted somewhat, getting a little bit lost in time. He needed a cover and, with what biological knowledge he had picked up over the years and his skills as a soldier letting him fake the records needed to pass at this point in history, playing the substitute high school teacher seemed apt. It was innocent and unassuming and he could maintain the cover for a long time.

He'd gotten on well with most of the staff and the other students, including one Peter Parker, though he seemed like something of an odd duck. He never expected to see the kid trying to secretly stash away some red-and-blue cloth into his backpack in what was supposed to be Leto's empty lab room.
