I would greatly appreciate that, thank you.
But, my offer still stands. I would like to get to know you, Claire.

I'll send it now. But I don't know why you'd want to get to know me. Unless tales of what a sucker I am for patching up heroes is getting around. Then I'll have to go kick some super asses.
no subject
Thank you.
Because there aren't many people who understand and see certain things in this world...and maybe I want to get out of the Tower for a little bit. Or would you prefer to compare notes on who to properly kick someone's ass?

[She did not, however, know that she was speaking to one.]

Coffee? Or tea? Either way, my treat.
[Ha, she'l be in for a surprise, won't she?]

Meet in half an hour? Or, are you busy today?

[ Cause she can't really say look for the woman in a baseball cap, can she? ]
no subject
It's a plant. See you then.
no subject
A plant? I'll keep an eye out..
[ But give it thirty minutes and Wanda is in a baseball cap, sunglasses and jeans. She's trying to blend in and she has no idea what Claire looks like. So she'll wait in front of the coffee shop and send a text. ]
Im here outside.
no subject
I'm already inside. Table in the corner on the left. Tan jacket.
[She'd been looking for a new face, and Wanda definitely stood out as someone that was new to the area.]
no subject
Claire? [Her glasses come off, letting Claire see shes' talking to Wanda, an Avenger..hopefully no one will interrupt them.]
Thank you for meeting with me. May I sit?
no subject
At the question, she gestured for the seat opposite her, nodding as she slid over a small one-sided menu.]
That's what we're here for. Though, again, not really sure why you would bother with me when there's... well. Others. Like you.
no subject
She takes her seat across from Claire. ]
Do you really think any of them would be willing enough to meet with me? Someone that's not of their circle and much less popular? [ Even she would be skeptical if she wasn't already part of the group.]
You're placing too little on yourself. You have your strengths and honestly, it's nice to speak to someone who isn't blinded by their own agenda. [ Like Danny and most likely the others. ]

[She lifted her head when the waitress came over, ordering a flavored latte and a piece of banana bread.]
no subject
Wanda orders a small latte for herself, nothing else. The waitress nods and placed their orders. ]
How have you been handling it?
no subject
[She pulled out a napkin from the dispenser, fidgeting with it as she talked to a woman who could apparently fly and throw red weird energy bolts around. Claire was feeling more and more like the proverbial third wheel.]
Day by day. I hope I don't get a phone call or a knock on the door, but I also hope I do, just so I know they're safe.
no subject
[ She looks at the napkin Claire starts to fidget with and she can't help but wonder if she's unintentionally making Claire uneasy--if it's the conversation or that it's her. ]
After today, if you don't want me to contact you I won't. I don't want to add onto your stress.
no subject
[Of course, family could also stab you in the back and make bullets out of alien metal to kill you with, but some families were just messed up.]
What? Oh, no. It's... I just don't know what you expect me to be able to do for you.
no subject
I don't have any expectations. I only wanted to talk, get to know you better... [ And the waitress comes by with their drinks and the loaf Claire wante. Wanda murmurs a thank you to the server. ]
It's not easy to talk to people who don't have an ulterior motive, and I haven't had the chance to really explore New York. [ Because of...you know saving the world and people staring at you doesn't help. ] How long have you been a nurse?
no subject
The question had her chuckling and rolling her eyes.]
Too long. But I'm not a nurse anymore. Not a working one, anyway. I'm not big on working for places that cover things up.
no subject
[Like HYDRA...like the experiments and other lovely things.]
Are you looking for work in the private field then? Or strictly patching up others when they have no where to turn?
