FOOLING AROUND

Somewhere further than making out yet not quite going all the way, "fooling around" is a time honored tradition. It's easy, low-pressure, and there are no real parameters - above the clothes or not. Sound good? Maybe you're young and want to try but not commit to anything too carnal. Similarly, you could want to explore somebody's, well, body because they're so different than you. There's also the possibility that you want to make them happy or see how they react to feeling beyond great. Could it be that you're a tease, even?

Or you could just be bored. There's nothing on TV, anyway.

This would probably make more sense if she was chugging down her flask of whiskey. It has been one hell of a week. Kissing the lawyer-vigilante wasn't the strangest thing she'd ever done. She just had to make sure she didn't use her full strength or she would probably break him. Not like he was Luke. Things were looking pretty grim for their small team. Might as well get her last few kicks while she can.

It's a little weird, honestly, that they haven't done this yet. But Edgar Caustello-Reynolds is a gentleman underneath the mischievous exterior, the leather jacket and motorcycle. He's a gentleman the way a lot of the boys in the Deck know how to be, and Sarah's come to the realization that for the first time since she came back home from school it's not really a hookup. It might be dating.

Or it might just be that Eddie's letting her take the lead here. She's okay with that too.

It's late and the street that leads to both of their apartments is mostly empty. It's chilly enough that she's acquired his jacket, but not so much that she feels the need to rush home, even in her very short skirt. It's when they're between street lights and at a corner where no one's likely to be this late that she spins and grabs at his t-shirt. It really is nice that he's taller, she thinks. It doesn't happen often for her. Still, he's not much taller - nobody is - and all Sarah has to do is lean up a bit to slip her fingers in Eddie's dark gold hair. Then they're kissing.
