Stop staring at him with those gorgeous eyes. It doesn't help the thin ice!! Nor does the nice hair. Or jawline.

Once he realizes that he hasn't said any of that out loud, it gives him a second wind of sorts to carry on as normal. Sort of. Words are hard. And so is something else

[As dumb as King feels for still flashing a thumbs up, he was fully expecting something as lame as that would be off putting like it would be towards most normal people in this dimension. The fact that Joseph hasn't unbutton anything is noted but it still leaves a lot to his imagination.

His thumb practically creaks when he puts it down. If only this was one of those times when someone calls him like in the movies.

[yes, that thumbs-up was very dorky. but it was cute-dorky. the new guy is a genuine kind of person, joseph gets the feeling. he's just trying to adjust to a new neighborhood full of new people, some of which are absolute weirdos or not so nice. and so here is joseph, his wonderful, christian, pastel-wearing neighbor, here to save the day.
