[considering damien is probably mary's best friend, he really thinks he SHOULD get to know him better... damien is definitely strange at first glance, but appearances are deceiving and from what he knows of him casually, damien does seem very genuine.]

But I thank you for the way you speak of Lucien. Oftentimes I worry about him but... he's a genuinely good and kind boy. I have high hopes for his future.

once damien brings up lucien as a sitter, joseph is surprised, though. he wouldn't figure a kid like that would be much into the kid-caretaking thing. but it's true: the twins like lucien's more morbid humor, and even his antisocial little chris seemed to actually interact with him.]
Sounds good to me. Make sure to tell him no stick-and-poke tats, though, okay? At least let my kids grow up a little more before the "permanent mistake" stage of their lives.
