Two things about Steve register to most people upon the first instant of meeting him. One: he's a little guy. Short, scrawny, fine-boned. He looks just this side of unhealthy, in fact, and the asthma cigarettes in his pocket attest to that.

Two: he's an Alpha. This is what surprises people, at least until they learn what his personality is like. He would be just as bloody-minded and reckless if he were a Beta or Omega, because that's quintessentially Steve, but jut of his chin and the square of his shoulders and the bittersweet citrus-copper scent that clings to him all scream his status.

Unfortunately, he's not a very successful Alpha. Scent alone doesn't win over an Omega, and while he tries his damnedest in every back-alley brawl he runs into, whether it's about sex or justice, he doesn't win many. In a real life or death fight for a partner, a truly determined and vicious opponent would rend him limb from limb. Lucky thing the modern world is a little more civilized than that. So all he has to worry about is near-constant sexual frustration.

He's gotten used to it, as much as anyone can, by the time he's in his early twenties, and even found ways to get by. The asthma cigarettes, for example, sometimes help to cover the world of vivid hormonal scents around him. It took him almost an hour of chatting with Loki, when they met, before he even realized he was an Omega. Thank god it wasn't a heat season, or one of Steve's periodic proto-ruts that never quite come to a conclusion. That would have been awkward. Instead, he's been able to get to know Loki on his own merits, and conclude that he's a jackass, but the fun kind of jackass, and worth hanging around with.

Loki wasn't fond of most Alphas. They could flatter and charm to be sure, and he did like the attention, but only to a point. Too many reminded him of his brother, or even worse reminded him of his birth family, and the frustrating culture they had around designations. No, Loki wasn't some thing to be won, and he wasn't about to let raging hormones dictate what he did, even if oftentimes they were his own. So he played along on occasion. Let them think things were going their way, all soft tones and doe-eyed smiles until he decided he was done and left them alone, confused, and very frustrated. Mostly to prove he could. That he was master of himself. He was perfectly fine with this, with just keeping himself to a few friends-with benefits arrangements with Betas for those points when heats got especially unpleasant.

And what prompted him to start befriending the bitter little Alpha that came around the same coffee place that he did? He wasn't entirely sure, but he was glad he did at this point. Steve was fun, with a sharp almost sassy sense of humor, and didn't seem to care if he really was all that small in comparison to others around him. Whatever the case, Loki was glad he'd gone with the impulse, and wasn't looking forward to the end of their weekly chat.

[Dorian's not entirely certain how he managed to convince Saren that this was even remotely close to tickling the turian's interest. Especially given the hard line he's taken against mingling with humans, a hard line the mage has bypassed somehow. It could be the full force of his charming personality, at least he would like to think so, or the fact that Dorian belonged in a category that wasn't strictly human, but involved him being a mage (he was talented, surely that would be impressive), or maybe his interest were purely academic.

To be honest Dorian's interest, beyond the fact that he was an irrepressibly sexual individual, was academic curiosity as well. Probably why he dispensed with the wooing, doubting very much that Saren had any sort of interest in such customs, though there was something to be said for being wined and dined--he appreciated the idea of ulterior motives especially when it would obviously lead to something more primal...the chase to get there was fun. Though, to be honest, he's anticipating this just as much and is equally curious to see just how far it would go.

Would Saren go through with it and if so what would it be like? Or was he playing chicken with Dorian?

They were both quite different, anatomically speaking, but they were both males of their own respective species so the mage was comfortable with that if not extraordinarily inquisitive and turned on by such a prospect. Stripping was a good place to start, or watching Saren strip at least, it was tantalizing trying to picture what he would look like...his imagination wasn't a place for accuracy obviously. What would Dorian's fingers have access to? How could he show his companion a pleasant time with his full lips and nimble hands? Would Saren let Dorian climb on top of him and explore? Would he need a bit of magic to ease him into it? Dorian had some excellent potions. Or perhaps he'd be more interested in the magical touch? Sparks of electricity from the altus's fingers pulsating through him.

He's so full of pleasant little thoughts, like jewels really, giving his eyes a glossy appearance and there's really no need to detail what is happening to his body. The mound straining in the front of his leathers ought to be clue enough as to where his dirty mind is lingering. Well, if Saren knew more about human anatomy beyond what was necessary to cause physical harm, but not knowing was alright as well, Dorian is very good at showing off and vocalizing the things that please him most. Of course, it's the undisputed yes he's waiting for, it's what get's the mage out of the chair he's perched in.

It has him wandering toward Saren, determined to disrupt whatever task he's occupied himself with to push back the inevitable, or the glorious sex the mage was anticipating, one hand curling around a shoulder.]

Do you intend to let me worship you at some point Saren? Or were you hoping I would be satisfied with my dirty thoughts...becoming filthier by the minute...because that's rarely ever the case.
