Poets of the Fall ~ A music-based meme
01: Lift ~ [Times when I just can't bring myself to say it loud 'fraid that what I'll say comes out somehow awry]
You have something important to tell them, something you've wanted to say forever, but you're afraid of saying it aloud in case they misunderstand.
02: Dawn ~ [A new light is warm, shining down on you after the storm don't mourn what is gone, greet the dawn]
A transition from one place or time to another, perhaps you've died and you're moving on to the next life, or perhaps the world has ended and you're waking up to the new world. Or maybe today is the day you're finally going to do something you've always wanted to do.
03: Don't Mess With Me ~ [No point of view is enough to quell, the rigors of passion in this world I dwell. If I'm going to scale the highest wall, I'm gonna give it my all.]
The world is your oyster, you know what you want and how to get it and they aren't going to be able to stop you, come hell or high water. Will they even try? Or will they come along for the ride?
04: Where Do We Draw The Line ~ [Whatever tomorrow wants from me, at least I'm here, at least I'm free, free to choose to see the signs. This is my line]
A line has been drawn, you will go this far and no further. Is this line literal, moral, or metaphorical? And are they on your side or the other side?
05: Locking Up The Sun ~ [Is there a hero somewhere, someone who appears and saves the day. Someone who holds out a hand and turns back time. Is there a hero somewhere, someone who will never walk away Who doesn't turn a blind eye to a crime and in the emptiness, there's a solution, just look within yourself for absolution]
This is it, the end of the line, the bad guys have won and it's all over. Unless there's a hero who can swoop in at the last minute and fix it all.
Maybe that hero has been you all along and you didn't see it before.
06: Someone Special ~ [Back row to the left, little to the side, slightly out of place. Look beyond the light, where you'd least expect, there's someone special]
You've always been there for them, whether they realize it or not. You were there to help when things went wrong, or to pick up the pieces. Maybe they never noticed because you're a ghost. Or maybe it's because you want them for yourself and no one else and you're just biding your time.
Maybe today is the day they finally notice.
07: Overboard ~ [Have a little more of not enough, more of what is less but isn't love. Little of the same you're dreaming of that's enough, that's enough.]
You're hopelessly addicted (literally or figuratively) wanting someone, or something you can't have, an addiction that's slowly destroying you. Are they the one that can help you? Or are they the focus of your addiction?
08: Fragile ~ [If you're scared, I'm here beside you, if you get lost I'm here to guide you and I'll give you peace when peace is fragile]
No matter what they've done, or how badly things have gone wrong, you're there for them, their peaceful roost against the darkness of the world, their shelter from the storm within themselves.
Or maybe that's what they are for you.
09: 3AM ~ [More than you know it I'm aware of this connection that we share. I know it seems like sometimes I don't care but you are the colors that I wear]
Whether you're separated by time, distance, circumstances or all of the above, you know that you're connected to this person, somehow.
Are you meant to be together? Or are you meant to fight each other? Are you the same person somehow?
