THE DATE MEME

Here's how it works!

1. Comment to this post with your character. List the character's name, series, and any preferences you might have in the subject.

Locations

1. Restaurant. What better way to spend some romantic time than over food? Maybe you're at the fancy restaurant in town, or maybe you just couldn't afford anything nice, so you're at the nearest diner. Or maybe somewhere in between?

2. Games. The two of you are playing a game somewhere! You could be at a bowling alley, an arcade, a miniature golf course...the possibilities here are countless.

3. The Park. Of course, Mother Nature can provide an excellent atmosphere for romantic bonding! Perhaps you're taking a leisurely stroll through the lush grounds, or maybe you've laid out a blanket somewhere so the two of you could have a picnic.

4. Movie Theater. Or maybe the two of you are sitting next to each other in a dark room, sharing a bucket of popcorn while you're watching the latest film. Did you opt for a horror flick to keep your significant other latched to your arm -- or for you to latch to theirs -- or perhaps something they enjoy, like a sappy romance film or a cheesy action flick? Or maybe you compromised and went to see a sweet romantic comedy.

5. Skating. It's always nice to go skating, right? Are you at a roller skating rink, or did you find a frozen lake and decide to go ice skating? Which one of you needs help (you know at least one of you does)?

6. Beach. Ahh, the beach! Go ahead and set up camp wherever you like! Or if you don't watn to lay down and catch a tan, you can go swimming, or take a walk along the shore! Or if you don't want getting sand on your feet or in your shoes, go hit up the boardwalk!

7. Sunday Drive. Sometimes you don't really have a destination in mind. Sometimes you just want to drive and enjoy the scenery. Well, here's your chance to do that!

8. Amusement Park. There's plenty to do here! Take your date on the Ferris wheel, or the tunnel of love...or something more thrilling, like a roller coaster! Walk around with cotton candy!

9. Dance/Ball. School dance? Prom? Business gala? Whatever it is, you're there, and you've got a date.

10. Wild Card. Your choice! Feel free to pick something that's not here.

1. Blind Date. You had no idea who you were going out with until you arrived! Was it a complete stranger, or did it turn out to be someone you knew?

2. First Date. You finally worked up the courage to ask this person out, and they agreed! How awkward is this going to end up?

-This was a new thing that they had started since they got married. Natasha had decided that it was a crime that Steve wouldn't take the bike up to how fast she could really go. So to compromise, they agreed on sunday drives in the countryside outside of the city. She's already waiting by his bike, ready to go in casual clothes-

Let's go!

[Steve had no problems with Sunday rides, especially when it came to him spending more quality time with Natasha. But he was a bit reluctant about the speed, because no matter what, they were still human, especially his wife, and he couldn't help to worry. Motorbikes are still dangerous.]

Got your helmet? [He asked before he proceeded to put his hand on her waist, and peck her lips as a greeting.]

-She returns the kiss and pouts. Steve was just worrying too much-

Do I really need to wear a helmet?

-she reaches and squeezes that bottom. Oh yeah, he was hers. And Natasha made sure anyone they spoke with knew without question-

You do. I'll be wearing one too. [Steve somehow knew he will get a reaction like this, but he was used to it. It was everyday life of marriage. Or more likely, marriage with Natasha Stark.

Though, he jumps a little at the affection on the lower areas. He's still not used to women being this open with their sexuality in public, especially Natasha...]

I have one spare helmet in the bike. [He offered then, already stepping to the ride.]

If it means that much to you...

-she takes the helmet and straps it on before getting on the bike behind him. Her arms are secure around his waist as they always are, whether they're on the bike, being domestic at home, or flying him from place to place-

You think you'll met be drive this bad boy some day? And for once, I mean the bike.

[Steve smiled, because yay, safety's achieved, the love of his life will be safe for another few hours. Or at least from head injuries... Not that he was driving that bad, but safety...]

Thank you. [He said, and settled on the bike too, just loving the feel of Natasha's arms around him. It just gave him that secure feeling of wanting to protect. She barely let him to do it, so he liked to savor it. She was so modern, and he was so old-school...

He had to chuckle at her words again as he kicked the bike into life and putting up the signing light.] It's the same as your suit, Nat, you wouldn't let me drive that either do you.

Could engineer a suit for you but no, only way you'd get into the suit is to get it off of me. And I would hope you'd be more interested in what's underneath the suit instead of getting into it yourself.

-She presses a kiss to his shoulder and holds on tight as they pull out of the garage. She loves their sunday drives. It was a chance for them to leave their super selves behind for just a little while and be a normal married couple. And yes, that meant she let Steve be the protector in these rare moments-

And again, I'm refusing that offer. You're better with the iron suit, my shield is enough for me. Not that I wouldn't like what's underneath it, I mean... it's beautiful. [Again, Steve is still bad at talking to women, even if it's his wife.

Steve was going moderate in the city, but when they left it he added some fuel to his baby. Of course, not that much, because safety.

He liked these drives too. Mostly for the contact, and seeing only trees and hill could make him forget that seventy years passed, or that there is a different war now. It was only him, and Natasha.]

-she chuckles and press another kiss to the back of his neck. She even gave in and wore a scarf that could billow a little behind her. Usually, she was the one zipping around in fast cars yet there was something sweet and wonderful about letting Steve drive-

[Steve smiled again. He also liked these drives because they were a great stress relief. Natasha needed them most, even if she would never admit, but Steve was still worried.]

Next time let's stay for more than just one afternoon. [He suggested over the noise of the bike.]

Turn left at the fork!

[she smiled against him. They need a weekend to themselves. And she had reserved a cabin just for them.]

[Steve raised an eyebrow at that, but didn't question Natasha and did that turn.]

Why are we you planning? [He asked, smiling a little.]

A surprise.

-she squeezes him gently-

Know how we haven't been cashing in our vacation time?

((ooc: *you.... Gah, sorry. XD))

You'd planned us something? [Steve asks a bit hurt that Natasha didn't ask him about the vacation they supposed to go on together. But he figured that's the was she was rolling. Always. No exceptions.]

..I can still cancel it.

-she was used to doing things and not needing the approval of others. Of all things, that was the biggest adjustment she had to make for Steve-

Oh no, we might as well check it out, since you got the trouble to set it up. [Steve shakes his head. He knew how Natasha was, he knew who he was marrying to, but the process of molding their two personalities and views on the world together was a very slow process.] I wanted to take some days out too, so you should have really talked to me about it.

I wanted to surprise you. But we can just...head home if you don't wanna. I could call up Pepper. Let her use the cabin.

-her arms tighten a little around Steve. She doesn't know how to handle herself around him sometimes; he made her lose her verbal footing and in all honesty....he made her a better person and she didn't want to lose that-

[Steve sighed, smiling ever so slightly at their stupid fight right now.]

Tell me which way should I go. [He said at last, turning his head to the side just for a moment.] I didn't want to ruin your surprise, I'm sorry.

Left at the fork and keep going. It'll take you right into the private driveway.

-another squeeze-

I'm sorry too. Should've asked if you wanted to take time off in the first place.

Roger. [Steve said and gave some speed.] You know I always do with you, Nat, and it's not about that. It's about talking to me. Communicating, like a good team.

-she scoots closer and communicates exactly what she'd like to use this vacation time for. In explicit detail. By murmuring every single moment of it in his ear-

Oh Lord-- [Steve only could manage that much at Natasha's 'communication'. His grip tightens on the handle.] G-good thing we're thinking about the same things then. [He says, clearing his throat.]

This is it? [Steve asks as they arrive to the place Natasha has described. Steve had to admit, it really looked lovely.]

-When she sees the cabin roll into view, she beams-
