[ she tends to keep her distance from people. it's easier that way. it adds to the image of the 'full metal bitch.' the crazy woman in ridiculous armour who fought warlords and monsters. it's also just simplier, it lets her focus on being ready to fight. there is no time for distractions. except when there was.

she's admired max since they met. he's strong. a good fighter. he didnt ask her questions or want to make casual conversation. at the moment she isn't actually sure how they ended up in bed together, or why she's curled up against him. it's honestly the last thing on her mind. rita can't remember the last time she felt so relaxed, or calm. normally she's wound up full of agitation and anger, ready to bite the head off anyone who even looked at her.

right now she just wants this moment to last, which is why as she starts to fully wake up she doesn't move or say anything. she wants a few more moments of calm, of forgetting the world is a fucking mess. ]
