Marooned!

When you’re stranded. When there’s no way out.
At least this you’re not alone.
WHERE ARE YOU STRANDED?
1: Island. Surrounded by the ocean, shipwrecked on an island. Far away from any civilization.
2: Planet. Is it an uninhabited wasteland? A teeming forest, crammed with alien life forms? Does it have enough oxygen? Storms? Predators?
3: Moon/Asteroid. Low atmosphere, low gravity. You better hope that you have a survival pod where there’s enough air and heat.
4: Adrift. A ship on the ocean; a power-dead space station; a skimmer floating through the levels of a gas giant.
5: Oasis. Not quite marooned in the same sense, but you’re surrounded by empty desert, too far to cross. You might as well be trapped by the water of the oasis.
6: Cave. Again, not quite in the same sense, but something has left you trapped underground. Did you slide down a chasm? Suffer a cave-in? Either way, you’re down here to stay, for the time being.
7: Other.
WHO’S WITH YOU?
1: A friend. You’re in this together.
2: An enemy. Maybe war brought you both here, and war left you stranded behind. Could be that you’re an enemy in a more mundane sense: school rivals, an assassin and her prey.
3: Strangers. You were both on that boat for vacation, and now you have to survive together.
4: A lover. Some honeymoon, huh?
5: Other. For any other variation.
WHAT’S THE PROBLEM?
1: Food and water.
2: Shelter. There’s a storm coming. The nights are cold, here. Or do you just want a sense of security?
3: Communication. How can you get someone to come rescue you?
4: Predators. Something’s trying to kill you…
5: Escape. If you can just fix the ship…
6: Each other. One more hour and you might kill each other.
7: Injury/Disease. One of you needs medical attention. Hopefully the other can muddle through.
8: Other. Any other problem you can think up!

I RNG'ed 5, 2, and 7, respectively! Would those work for you, and would you have any preferences/ideas in mind that'd appeal for setting up a scenario?]

[ At a certain point, Jill became acutely aware that whatever was doing this to her had a very dark sense of humor. Work together and be friendly and get a prize! Or, don't and you'll get punished.. What kind of harrowing message was that? She'd swap this garbage out for another bout of half the people she knew in this strange world being hit with the flu or all vehicles not working or whatever again over this. To go to sleep in a comfortable bed in town and wake up here, stranded... well, shit. She didn't even know that there was a desert here. Not that she should be surprised since it seemed like their occasionally benevolent and seemingly omnipotent overlord apparently could twist this reality as they pleased and she was the latest victim.
She might have her gun, but the little letter she woke up with made it pretty clear that so much as a pistol whip would not end well for her. It seemed so often that there were sudden days just like this and so often, it seemed to be something extreme happening that often suggested a need or desire for teamwork and being friendly. She'd noted that it often also thrust people together who had bad blood among them. This guy... Jill didn't honestly know all that much about him, but she knew there was something that made her skin crawl. He reminded her of someone, but not quite. An amalgam of qualities that felt distrustful in some way, although she knows that after everything she's been through the past decade and a half or so has made her more cautious and unwilling to budge unless forced. Trust is earned, yet she's always capable of playing nice when required. So what was it about this man that made her so cautious and why was it that she was here, now, with him? Maybe it's just a joke she wasn't let in on.
There are a few cascading cliffs among the dunes, one of which she'd woken up near, beside flecks of dry foliage and cacti peppering the area near her and the water in the distance. The pools look somewhat shallow, leading to a larger one that likely has more depth along with the shade provided overhead from a few beaten up buildings and more (albeit limited) plant life. Something skulks off far beyond it all, though the haze of the heat obscures it enough that she can't be sure if it's just another building or something more. Most likely, she suspects that it is just her eyes playing tricks on her already. Even if she's not dehydrated, the heat is sizzling in a way that she's intimately aware of and not fond of in the slightest. She looks down at the letter again, remembering the warnings of a surprise oncoming along with the simplicity that this is presented with. Find a way back is the only direction given beyond the mild threat. It's easier said than done, especially since she wasn't even aware of the desert's existence prior to waking up here. It's just as likely that some inane task will be presented to them and she'll have to complete it in order to actually "return," based on prior days like this, but it's hard to say.
She folds the letter back up and puts it inside the envelope and pockets it. It's very possible that it will be needed, as much as she wants to ball it up and toss it so it floats away like a tumbleweed. She gives it a moment before nudging at her new tag team partner with the tip of her boot. Softer than she'd like, but enough that it should be felt. ]
Hey, time to get up, sunshine.
[ There's no mistaking the sarcasm her voice holds tightly onto for anything but. ]
