There had been moments in Isaac's life when he'd felt suffocated. While the ones caused by his father's abuse were in the majority, there had always been times at school or when alone that he'd felt like there simply wasn't enough air in the world for him.

But the bite had filled his lungs with more than the power of his wolf. The bite had removed the weight that Isaac had always felt around him, pressing in. The bite had almost given him wings. After Derek had called the school, Isaac hadn't wasted any time. He'd run the sixty laps at the next practice (or whatever punishment Coach decided to heal out), but he was wanted at home, and Isaac needed to get there.

He was wanted.

Shoving the majority of his clothes into his locker, Isaac gripped his cellphone and dashed out of the building. In just his socks and jock, Isaac threaded his way into the woods. The weather was bright, welcoming, delicious, even. Every scent filled his brain, being experienced and cataloged. Branches slapped against his naked skin, leaving lashes that healed almost instantly, brambles scraping against his thick thighs and calves, socks getting snagged but quickly wrenched free.

Isaac's body eventually slammed into the door leading to Derek's loft, and Isaac flew inside and up the stairs, ignoring the elevator. Legs pumped, his jock bounced and as soon as Isaac saw their door, Isaac made a big deal of smacking against it, hand yanking at the bar and practically falling into the home they'd tried to make together.

Eyes flashed back to normal and Isaac's chest practically spasm'd as he forced himself to calm down, glancing around, hoping Derek enjoyed the wood scents coating the teen's body, just for him.
