sorry for the delay! I hope this makes up for it :'c
[Sure, Hades has been deactivated, but there's still... So much she doesn't understand, so much that's missing. The Nora, save a few, have gone back to life as normal. Worshipping the All-Mother, praising the Annointed, nestled away in the sacred lands. Most tribes, in fact, seem to go back to how they were and maybe Aloy can't blame them but she can't fathom how it is they don't want to understand?]
[She tries to explain Apollo to Erend over ale she's slowly starting to like and he waves her off with a comment about it being before their time. Implores to Teersa who posits that maybe it's not for them to understand. Spouts ideas into her focus even though he's been silent ever since Hades. Babbles at Rost's grave, but the dead don't talk.]
[It's all these failures that bring her back to Gaia Prime, hoping there's something she can find. Maybe some piece of Apollo that was saved, something that points at a future that isn't as lost and ignorant as the past has been. The more she's come to understand, the more she realises that she understands very little, and that doesn't stop here as she ends up banging her fists on a console in frustration.]
[She still doesn't understand this technology either.]
nah it's cool, sorry this is a long one.
She didn't know how far she walked, how long it took but the hours and days seemed to pass by in minutes when she arrived at her childhood home. She sat down in front of the ruin of her house, surrounded by nothing but barren wastes and clouded with musty, smoggy air. Everything was giving out on her as she felt her life begin to ebb away.
That's when she had heard it. Gaia's voice whispering to her in her helmet. She strained her ears to listen the words drifting in and out. Elizabet....too....valuable......needs....Faro...Apollo....lost...downloading mental.....reintegrate when ready. It didn't make sense but as she she drifted her vision felt like it was zooming out. Everything getting so far away from her appearing like a dot. Was this what it was like to die?
And as sudden as it felt, everything felt like it was rushing back into focus. She gasped for air as she suddenly sat up and then a ringing pain hitting her head as she slammed forward into glass. Her senses felt like they were spinning and she pounded on the surface. Fear, claustrophobia, panic all taking hold at once as she pounded on the surface. Had the swarm found her and this was some new horrendous way of extracting bio fuel? She yelled, terrified at the fate about to befall her.
....Meanwhile....
As Aloy had banged her fists upon the console, a light flashed upon the screen. A message written in bolded letters appearing on the Screen. It read: ALPHA PRIME REINTEGRATED. REMOVING FROM STASIS.
And behind Aloy the floor began opening up what appeared to be a hidden stairwell, and the sound of banging and muffled cries could be heard dimly echoing from the stairwell.
Then another message appeared: "ERROR: STASIS POD, MALFUNCTION. UNABLE TO OPEN. MANUAL FIX REQUIRED." ]
