It's a splendid night for a party!

You received an invitation to a masquerade party and after wondering who exactly throws these things anymore outside of people in Italy and the strange people in that Vanilla Sky movie, you've decided to attend! Decked out in your best (or maybe not so best - it may have been last minute, after all), you descend on the party and prepare to make it a night to remember.

Is it your friend's annual Halloween party with a twist? Perhaps you're an international spy, trying to find out the best way to steal the Crown Jewels. Maybe this is part of Spirit Week at your high school and you really wish that your classmates would be more creative next time.

Elaborate Venetian, playful animals, dazzling supernatural creatures - the night is young. Have fun.

This is not a RNG meme. Your characters' role and situation is entirely up to you. "But how do you play?" you might ask. It's as simple as 1, 2, 3!

1.) Post with your character. In the subject line, type of your character's name and canon. If you'd like, in the comment section, you can describe what mask/costume your character is wearing.
2.) Tag around! This is a party after all, and your character can't find any of their usual crew behind their masks (or maybe they can and need to tease them mercilessly for their choice of costume).
3.) Profit!

[How Eponine managed to get into a fancy party with both a dress and a mask is anyone's guess. Okay, maybe she's trying to get information for her father, but how can she focus on doing that when she gets to pretend to be a lady for the night?]

However, the only one in red she's seen so far is a woman, and she's quite certain that said woman is not someone in disguise. Weaving through the crowd, Christine is by Raoul's side immediately. Her fingers close around his.]

[Is this another dream? She's not really sure, but it's a whole lot more pleasant than being blown up in the Asylum of the Daleks, so she'll take it. Around her, Oswin sees a ballroom, people dressed in gowns and tuxedos (a little out of date, she has to say, like they're from the early twenty first century). Everyone dances slowly, rhythmically, all lost in their own little worlds. It's all quite romantic, if not a little strange. Though, for some reason, she's standing by herself by the punch bowl.

[And what do you know, Eponine is there too, watching the dancers in wonder. She still can't believe any of this is happening, that she's all dressed up in her beautiful gold gown with a mask hiding her face so that none of these rich people know that there's a street rat among them.

She's someone in this dress. Not trash, not filth, but a fine lady.

Without taking much notice of Oswin yet, Eponine sways ever so slightly to the music, her eyes sparkling. She doesn't need a dance partner. All she needs is this moment.]

[The Doctor traveled dimensions all the time, it was no wonder that he'd eventually end up at a masquerade ball - and of course, in a mask, though it was a simple one. the rest of his clothes remained the same, making him look somewhat out of place. The only reason he was staying there was because of the suspicious angel statue that he was almost sure didn't belong. After getting a drink, the Doctor began to make he way towards the statue. However, he bumped into a woman and almost spilled his drink on her...]

[Was it wrong to say Eponine's life flashed before her eyes? Her dress, the only pretty thing she owned, and seemingly in slow motion, a splash of wine falling towards it. With a little shriek, she tugs it out of the way, narrowing avoiding staining it forever.

After making sure the gold material was unharmed, she looks to the man who bumped into her.]

[In all honesty the Doctor barely paid the woman any notice until she spoke up - the statue that was probably a Weeping Angel was certainly more important. But, she spoke up and the Doctor just had to reply, didn't he?]

Hm? Yes. Quite alright.

[The flustered Doctor then turned back to the statue and tried to make his way towards it, only to be blocked by a dancing couple. He didn't seem to care much though, as he turned back to the other person]

...Can you help me get to that statue?

[She's assumed the angel was a decoration. The ballroom is a little gothic in nature, so such a thing wouldn't be entirely out of place.]

[For a moment the Doctor watched Eponine blink, reminding him of something very important!]

Oh, don't look away from it. Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead.

[Oh right, plans. He needed those.]

Could you find some way to make sure everybody looks at that statue? I need to think of how to get rid of it...
