• FEEL-GOOD TEEN FLICK You're in a John Hughes movie. You're in detention with a bunch of different people and you learn how to tolerate each other! You're a dude that gets away with crazy hijinx by taking a day off from school! Almost get busted throwing a huge party but get away with it in the end! Whatever! • DRAMATIC DANCE SEQUENCE The man (some preacher or somebody's dad or both look we're not the cops) is making it so people CAN'T DANCE, what kind of shit is this? Triumph over this oppression with dance sequences and singing and all that. Have a dramatic kiss at the end. • GRAVEYARD SMASH Jason, Michael Myers, you're in a slasher flick and you gotta get out alive or murder screaming teenagers. Don't let us tell you how to live. • SITCOM LIFE Think of like, Roseanne or Family Matters or shit are those even in the 1980s, we're getting tired. Things are zany and you have PSA episodes where Pee-wee Herman tells you not to smoke crack in the commercial breaks. • BUDDY COPS You're in a buddy cop movie, do NOT make me explain this one. • EVERYTHING IS ON FIREIT'S TIME FOR DIE HARD, MOTHERFUCKERS. You're John Mcclane! Or that guy from Lethal Weapon! Look, our horse is in the Bruce Willis race here! Anyway, point is that you're in a shoot-em-up action flick and you gotta walk away from some explosions. • SCI-FI Think of every sci-fi trope you know and just shove them all together and hope it makes sense. • MISC ???????????
