Nightmare Fuel: This is the stuff so horrifying that it can give people the creeps for years. This scares the pants off of just about anyone to the author/creator's delight. This makes you shrink in the back of your chair, look over your shoulder, and remind yourself that what's going on is (usually) only fictional....

14. THE PLURAL OF DIMENSION IS DEMENTIA - Everything looks familiar, but it's just a little bit off. Did your neighbor always have that mustache? Was the sky always that shade of green? Welcome to the mirror universe, where you're the crazy one.

15. THE LATEST DISPLAY MODEL - You're so pretty that you belong on a shelf. Or behind bars. Perhaps magically frozen in place so that you can't escape or mar those lovely features. Maybe someone just wanted you safely hidden away, kept all to themselves. Or did they want to show everyone in the world that you belong to them and them alone?

16. JUST KEEP RUNNING - Something is chasing you. Maybe you don't even know what it is, you just know that you have to keep running, because if you stop the consequences are worse than you can bear to consider. No matter how exhausted you are, you just have to keep going.

[ His exaggerated and long, bony fingers twitch against an unknown pressure, the unkempt nails of his fingers scraping harshly against the firm surface underneath him. Though, that's not what motivates him to stand back on his two feet. Instead, the sounds of a wailing child antagonizing him and lifting up his mood despite the poor humor of the entire farce. Standing up, he rises from the darkness, his feet silently and deafly walking through the hazy sights. He's startled by the stark change of environment and though, he's clearly not in the right frame of mind to begin assessing his surroundings, one thing is clear -- the world is not as it should be. Dreams and nightmares - the stuff of the mind working its way through everything that is just not fit for the day. What does one such as Integra Hellsing have to fear? Most days nothing, but we all have hidden worries do we not? Those things we desperately try to keep hidden away, to prevent...

Which is why the view of London burning all around her might come as a shock. The smell of the burning dead fills the air and sense that among the fire and the shadows nothing remains - not a soul breathing except herself.

Yet the shadows grow thick in places and slink across the ground without much regard for the flames roaring over buildings and licking over the sky.

As desolate as it is there something lurking at the edges of destruction, at the edges of her very mind; a presence that perhaps is normally comfortable but now seems so much darker, perhaps even hostile. There is also a notion that these fires were not caused by an enemy of Hellsing but something far worse: a nightmare truly come to life.

He'd smelled something strange about the meat, so naturally the young werewolf had gone to investigate. When he'd gone into the meat locker, he'd left the door wide open. It took a lot of effort to keep himself from shifting and tearing into the meat, the smell of the blood calling to his inner wolf. However, as he looked at the muscle and bones hanging from the hooks, a sickening realization of just what that meat was kept him in check. He went to hurry out the door, when suddenly it slammed shut. Then there was a scraping sound of something large moving in front of the door.

Isaac growled, an animalistic sound, and banged on the door, not even noticing that he wasn't the only one in there. All he knew was that he was trapped, and the large button made to allow people trapped inside to get out wasn't doing any good and...what was that warmth he felt at the edges? The hissing sound his enhanced hearing picked up? The smell of burning metal? Were they being welded into that freezer?

In his terror and panic, Isaac began to shift. And then, he howled.

[ It’s an experience he’s never quite had before. The sensation of emptiness building up within him and taking control of his every movement, his every desire and every single one of his wretched intentions. The confined space only makes it more unbearable. There was another man with him and in his carnal state, he can only feel grateful for his presence. Perhaps, it would assist him in ways beyond his wildest imagination. This was a rare case, to find himself so entranced with another, whether it was for the superficial reason to satiate his hunger or not. The way he thirsted for this man was very akin to how he chased after the shadow of his holy maiden, the object of his estranged obsessions. There were no boundary lines, no method for hindering his starved state and there was absolutely no seizing these emotions.

But, ending it now would have been too simple. And for that, he keeps himself in check. ] O, we have been forsaken by He himself. Why do these trials and tribulations hold no end? [ His screechy, dramatic voice doesn’t falter in the slightest. And his slender fingers, each one seemingly bonier than the reaches to touch the cover of the book in his hands-- but in this tight space, he also brushes his hunched, crooked back against Fai’s LMFDHSGJKD I FEEL SO BAD TYPING THIS ALREADY.
