CUDDLE MEME
what to do:
☆ post a comment with your character's name and fandom or preferences, if you have them.
★ use the magic RNG 1-12 to pick the cuddly scenario. or not.
☆ then cuddle it out!
cuddle choices:
① Sweet dreams It's been a long day and all you want to do is sleep or just rest your eyes for a bit. Hopefully whoever is close by doesn't mind if you use them as a blanket.
② Stormy weather The heavy rain, thunder and lightning won't be letting up anytime soon. Luckily, it's the perfect weather to stay indoors and snuggle up close and keep warm.
③ Lazy dancer It's the end of a party, or maybe it's only the two of you, but the tempo is slow and the lights are low. Let your dance partner take the weight and just sway.
④ Surprise attack Time to invade someone's personal space. Are they working too much and need a distraction? Maybe you just wanted to brighten their day. Either way, they won't see it coming.
⑤ Movie night It can be on the sofa or in a darkened theater, but you've got your popcorn and someone to settle against during your favorite movie.
⑥ I love you, man It's totally platonic, really. You're just very good friends, no matter what people like to think. But you just love your friend so much you want to hug them, whether they like it or not.
⑦ Jeepers creepers Welp. You were just frightened. Was it a spider in the washroom, a ghost in the attic, a bad dream? Either way, you're looking for someone to cling to right now, and who better than that person right there?
⑧ Hurt and comfort Whether you're sick in bed, just been dumped or suffered a traumatic event, you need someone to wrap their arms around you and make everything go away.
⑨ Sunday morning Maybe you just had a wild night. Maybe there’s just not enough space at your place and you need to share your bed. Or maybe you just got really tired and someone else happened to be there. Doesn't matter because now the person with you looks way more comfortable than any blanket or pillow. Drape to your heart’s content.
⑩ Moment after You just had incredible, vigorous sex (playing out is totally optional) and if you weren't a cuddler before, you are now. You're probably too exhausted to do anything else anyway. Just enjoy the moment.
⑪ Ménage à trois Or four, or five. Get a group and cuddle away.
⑫ Player's choice Pick one or make up your own!

“Oh, we’re doing the whole ‘arrive separately’ thing?” he asked, content to just show up together and let whoever sees them make of it whatever they wanted, but also just enjoying teasing her. “Then I’ll just have to stop back in my room again after food to get some things. Sounds like a lot of extra work.” Toothbrush, clothing, a few snacks he had stashed. If he was going to be shacking up with her for the next five days he couldn’t do so without proper supplies.

"It was a question. I don't mind either way Clint" Natasha raised an eyebrow in his direction, stabbing buttons and sliding into the elevator when the doors opened. "Think I'd rather fuel the imagination first though, so let's go grab food then we can go to your room and get whatever your heart desires" Words were said possibly too sweetly but hell, she was already sliding into that role of being coy and innocent, and a tease.
"I just really want to see the look on Stark's face as he tries to piece things together and fails, wonder how long it will take him to crack and just ask."

He was a good fighter and could give Natasha a run for her money, but in the end she was just that much better than him, he had to admit it.
“Sounds like a plan. Honestly, if I don’t eat something soon things may get ugly, so the sooner we get to it the better,” he said, following her into the elevator. Leaning against the wall of the lift, he acted the perfect gentleman, or at least how he used to act before he knew that grabby hands wouldn’t land him in a world of pain. Nothing had to change, he could be perfectly cool about it all. Fury would never suspect a thing.
“Oh, this is gonna be good.” he gleefully rubbed his hands together as the lift reached the common floor.

"You and me both, then again I guess you worked up a bigger appetite" She couldn't help herself, had to just keep throwing it out there, to once again confirm that this was real.
She half rolled her eyes at him, loosened arms, rolled shoulders back and put on a half dazed expression. Looked like the Widow was coming out to play with Natalia hot on her heels, except she would if the persona hadn't hit a brick wall.
As soon as the doors opened her eyes landed on them, all of them which was half surprising given the time and the fact Bruce usually stayed in the labs and Steve was generally breaking punching bags. She wandered out, let them turn heads, stretched and scratched her stomach, heading straight to the kitchen area and spying a couple of pizza boxes. "Ugh, this is what I'm talking about."

“Oh yeah, did I ever,” he said, just before the door slid open. “That briefing took a lot out of me.” Winking at her, Clint quickly hid his smile behind a sleepy mask, his disheveled hair helping to make it look like he’d just crawled out of bed. It was mostly dry now, unlike Natasha’s, but that would only add to the confusion... which there was apparently going to be more of than he had hoped: they had a full audience. This day just kept getting better.
“Morning... or whatever time of day it is.” Clint mumbled to the other gathered Avengers as he followed Natasha out of the lift. “All those boxes better not be empty.”
no subject
She'd practically ripped open the top box, staring at the contents while her stomach rumbled angrily at the lack of eating. Natasha felt like falling into her silent pattern, whenever she was around people who weren't Clint she happened to speak when she was spoken to, or just give them looks that could express more than words could ever say, but then again the thought of stirring up a mess was too much for her.
So she turned round, leaned her body against the counter while holding out a box full of cold pizza and cast everyone a slow smile, "Not empty, don't know how considering we slept for nearly a whole day.." Oh yes, that got their attention, probably because of how they both looked more than her words considering it really wasn't the first time she'd admitted to sharing a bed with the other, it was one of the only times they'd both appeared at the same time as if they'd just rolled out of bed, which in reality they pretty much had.
She cast eyes onto Tony, giving him a wider smile while the man looked between them both. Oh yeah, today was a good day.
no subject
He pretended not to notice the way the others were watching them, especially Tony.
“That must have been some mission for you two to sleep that much,” the billionaire remarked.
“Mmmhmm,” Clint agreed around his mouthful of food. Slipping around behind Natasha, he set his slice of pizza on top of one of the other boxes and got them each a glass from the cupboard, filling them with water. They needed some rehydrating about now.
no subject
She furrowed brows as he stole a slice, then again Natasha was never a massive eater and there was no way she'd even manage half of the box. She pushed herself off the cabinets, setting to box down on the island and sliding onto a stool. Glancing between Clint and the others. Her eyes turned to Tony and she shrugged, tearing a slice of pizza in half and stuffing some into her mouth. "What can we say? It tired us out" She swallowed with a small smile, crossing legs over as her eyes turned to Steve as he spoke.
"Well, we're glad you're both, okay, and rested.." Ah yes Natasha caught the awkward movements, head half tilted and she nibbled on the torn up slice, shoulders rolling. "We managed, just another operation."
no subject
“Pulling double duty with the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. is hard work, but what can I say?” Clint stated as he finished off his first slice. “We’re just that good.”
Bruce, who had been sitting silently the whole time, finally spoke. “Human bites are more likely to get infected than animals bites. You should put something on that,” he said in his usual quiet tone.
no subject
She took the glass as he placed it down, swallowing back a good measure of water to chase away the pizza.
Her eyebrows raised in Bruce's direction, an acknowledgement of what he'd said and a good excuse for her to place a hand on his shoulder. "See Barton I told you, you needed to get that looked at properly." Natasha was nodding, reaching to hand him another slice, still working on her first.
Inside she was hysterically crying with laughter, on the outside she was a perfect mask, blending from person to person with a mixture of personas creating a blank mask.
She felt eyes on her, staring up at Tony. "Can I help you Stark?" He was practically leaning across the island, gazing at her. Natasha held her ground, tilted her head and gave him her best innocent look until he'd pulled back first with his brows furrowed. One for the Widow.
no subject
Eyes shooting in Bruce’s direction, Clint was barely able to conceal his mirth. “Yeah, yeah,” he said to Natasha’s chiding, his hand lightly brushing hers as he accepted the second slice of pizza. “Bruce can help me out with that after breakfast, can’t you doc?”
“Of course,” Banner replied with a small smile. Preferably somewhere alone where Tony couldn’t attempt a divide and conquer method. Perhaps Pepper could keep him busy for a while.
Thor, for his part, was completely oblivious to the innuendoes and secret looks being passed around. “On Asgard there is a creature with a bite so poisonous that if one does not make haste in removing the afflicted limb one faces almost certain death,” he informed them.
“I don’t supposed it’s anything like a Black Widow?” Tony interjected after his failed staring contest, this time moving his eyes to Clint who was doing his best to appear completely interested in Thor’s story and completely oblivious to Tony’s gaze.
“No, it is much larger,” Thor held his hands out to indicated a size larger than a breadbox. “And it has wings and only three legs.”
no subject
She quickly dispelled it, turned to glance at Thor with a smile, and then of course Tony couldn't help the comment which had Natasha smirking as she reached for another slice of pizza, locking eyes with the man. "For a genius your logic is null, a Widow's bit is a lot smaller and he'd be dead by now." And there was the Widow herself, still locking eyes with Stark as she lent to take a bite out of her slice, leaving the ridges of her teeth marks in the base, chewing with a blank look as she reached a finger up to wipe the smudge of tomato paste from the corner of her mouth, sucking it clean with perked eyebrows.
Something inside her cheered when the 'genius' shifted and broke eye contact first, muttering a discontented 'not fair' under his breath.
Her attention shifted to Thor, mask shifting back to Natasha and she gave a smile in the Gods direction, her knee also nudging against Clint's under the safety of the breakfast bar. "Really Thor? Three legs? And wings? Evolution was kind." Oh Natasha and your stupid humor, she could practically feel the waves of confusion drifting from Steve's direction.
no subject
Clint threw a quick glance at Natasha when she nudged his knee, then held his own against hers, just enjoying the minimal and innocent contact. He really was in trouble. This need to be close to her, this desire to just be touching her all the time, even a touch as simple as this... that couldn’t be healthy. It was still all so new for them, though, he quickly reminded himself. Eventually the newness would wear off and the need would temper, so for now he was just going to embrace it and enjoy it.
“I was asking about Thor’s creature, not Robin Hood’s bite. Funny that you’d jump to the opposite conclusion, though,” Tony pointed out, a gleam in his eye as he felt that he might actually be winning a few points in this conversation.
“Robin Hood!” Clint suddenly exclaimed, earning him strange looks from all. “I’m just surprised it took you all this time to use that nickname. I think you’re slipping, Stark,” he quickly covered. In truth, he’d just remembered that Disney had done an animated version of the tale, and he made a mental note to bump that to the early part of their marathon queue.
no subject
Her head tilted at Tony, licking her lips slowly. "Thor didn't start talking about the creature until after you made your statement. Are you trying to imply something?" Tilted head, wide innocent eyes, purely personas peering through her eyes.
Even Natasha gave him a strange look at his sudden outburst of the stupid nickname. Natasha didn't get it, maybe she wasn't meant to, maybe it was just an underused nickname. Either way she shrugged it off, kept her knee against his and chewed more pizza.
"So what has everyone else been up to while we've been comatose?" She asked suddenly switching the conversation round, although she knew it wouldn't help matters. Stark was still staring at her like he was trying to read her thoughts and Steve looked overly puzzled, as per usual.
no subject
“Does it really matter who said what first?” Clint finally cut in with a sigh. “I’m the one that got bitten, and it wasn’t by anything poisonous so I’ll live, I promise. But I’m touched that you’re all so concerned.”
Stuffing what remained of his slice of pizza into his mouth all at once, he dumped the rest of the water from his glass into Natasha’s to top it up before standing to refill his own. Returning to his seat as Natasha turned the conversation back to their comrades, he inconspicuously shifted the stool just the tiniest bit closer to hers as he sat down, letting his knee rest against hers again.
“There was a minor incident in Brooklyn, but Thor and I were able to handle it alone,” Steve offered.
no subject
Natasha gave him a nod as he refilled her glass, mouthful of pizza and chewing too furiously to answer back. Half contemplating throwing the rest of the pizza at Tony, just for good measure. Too childish for her.
The knee back against hers threatened to make her smile, although with the way she was stuffing food into her mouth it wouldn't have been pretty.
"A minor incident? How minor are we talking here and why were we not invited? Sounded better than our deal.." She shifted gaze back to Steve, almost pouting now she'd swallowed and pushed the pizza box in Clint's direction.
She turned slightly, both knees pressed against his leg, "Why do we get the bad deals?" Her eyebrows had raised, sure their mission had ended up being anything but bad, well, the downtime anyway.
no subject
Okay, so the mission itself had been pretty horrible, but if they hadn’t gone, if they’d been on Steve’s mission instead then Natasha would never have gotten exposed to that truth serum and they would still be dancing around each other pretending not to feel anything but friendship.
“Because you still work for Nick Fury,” Tony pointed out, well, pointedly.
“Come on, it wasn’t that bad. All’s well that ends well, right?” Clint said, trying to act nonchalant as he took another bite of pizza and cast Natasha a sideways glance.
no subject
Her attention turned back to Clint as she reached for her water and sank half of the glass, catching his glance and holding it for a few seconds. "Mmm we certainly upped our game too, took a lot out of us." They really should have just stopped, but it was all too tempting, even more as she planting a hand on his thigh to help turn herself in the seat, back to facing the others, back to stuffing pizza in her mouth.
Her eyes met Steve's curious gaze, half tilting her head. "Is there something wrong Cap?" She asked softly, even though he was shaking his head and looking back to the floor. Oh well.
no subject
When she went back to thinly veiled innuendoes, though, he tried to hide his smile with the pizza. “You can say that again. I figure we exceeded all expectations.”
It was funny to sit back and watch the different ways the rest of the team was trying to figure everything out. Bruce seemed to either be sure of it all and pretending not to, or just glad to remain oblivious; Tony was far beyond curious and desperate to discover the truth; Thor was truly oblivious and Steve was... well, Clint wasn’t sure what Steve was. He seemed to be slowly piecing together his own speculations and was curious, but he was far too polite to get involved.
“You know Fury would gladly add you to the roster if you wanted to pull double duty too,” Clint offered sincerely. Although he’d never admit it, he admired the Captain, and looked up to him.
no subject
"You can say that again Hawk ass" Natasha mumbled, half into the pizza she was currently intent on devouring. Hungry didn't cut it, starving was more like it and hell, she was already onto her third slice.
Out of all of them she expected Bruce to pick up on it first, and well, Natasha trusted Bruce enough to know he'd keep his mouth shut, just so he didn't get involved with the rumor mill, although all the time him and Stark spent together Natasha was half concerned that he'd let something slip about his, well, thoughts.
She ignored it, she'd tackle that hurdle when it came.
"So Thor, what brings you back here?" She asked quickly, growing tired of shooting Tony challenging eyes. "Overdue a visit, and Lady Jane bestowed I teach her about the stars."
Anything to bring up small talk, to divert away from Tony and the fact Steve had gone a bright tomato red.
no subject
Nudging Natasha’s knee again at the nickname, Clint just grinned at all gathered and continued to shovel the food in his mouth. He was tempted to stop at three pieces and see if he could inconspicuously sneak whatever was left up to her room for later so they wouldn’t have to get up again for food at least for a while.
“Yeah? How’s that going for you?” he asked Thor. As much as the innuendos and torturing Tony had been fun, it was nice to have some normal conversation as well. He wasn’t sure what to say to Steve who looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here right now. Clint had been sincere in his suggestion that Steve join SHIELD, but in the context of the rest of the conversation, he could see how the Captain had twisted the offer to mean something completely different. Clint wanted to correct him but he couldn’t do that without giving up the whole game so he just had to let it go. “New York City isn’t exactly the best place to look at stars, but I guess it doesn’t take you long to get out of the city.”
no subject
Thor was nodding his mane like an over enthusiastic child, Natasha was frankly done with conversing. She wasn't so much a people person as the others, preferring her own company over a big group. That's why she sat back and watched the conversation, caught Bruce's steady gaze and returned it with one of her own. She got it, everyone was watching them as if they were about to get up and do tricks, Natasha didn't think they'd been too obvious but she could practically hear minds ticking like clocks in the room.
Her eyes moved carefully to Steve, tilting her head, free hand moving to scrunch her damp hair. "We need a sparring rematch Steve, I'm determined to break a punching bag, you game?" Steve was nodding, blush fading but not yet able to spit words out so she shrugged, taking that as a yes.
no subject
“That shockwave one was pretty cool, I gotta admit,” Clint interjected, ignoring the ‘boyfriend’ comment and hoping to just settle Tony down a bit. Sadly, that wasn’t likely to happen as Natasha seemed to be enjoying riling him up too much. The rest of the conversation, though, appeared to bore her now that they weren’t intentionally attempting to bait anyone.
Then she went and requested some training time with Steve, which was nothing out of the ordinary and normally Clint wouldn’t care, except for the fact that it would cut into their vacation time together. They still had to keep up appearances, he quickly reminded himself. If they holed up in her room exclusively together for the next five days then there would be absolutely no way of denying that their relationship was purely platonic.
no subject
Natasha couldn't go five days without taking out her inner rage in the gym, at some point she'd have to stretch her muscles and push herself to the limit. Didn't mean she would be dragging Clint off to the gym for a session though, which she certainly planned on doing.
Quickly standing she took his glass and hers to the sink, quickly refilling them both, placing his back in front of him. "As much as I love conversing with you guys I'm sadly going to retire back to my room. I have guns that need cleaning." She shrugged, clutching her glass, as she moved to push the chair back under the table she also tip toed fingers along Clint's spine, a silent signal which she knew he'd get. Give it ten minutes and don't forget the pizza.
Then she was waggling fingers, giving Stark the sweetest smile she could muster before wandering off back towards the elevator and up to her Stark-free room. She'd had enough 'Tony Snark' for one day.
no subject
Shivering involuntarily when she lightly moved her fingers along his spine, Clint raised his newly filled glass and took a drink. “Another argument for archery: less cleaning required,” he pointed out as she left, giving him an excuse to smile after her. He had thought her invitation to Steve had been for immediately, so he was happy to see that it was for sometime later.
“I also must take my leave. Jane awaits,” Thor said with a beaming smile as he rose from his chair. The possibility of being stuck alone with Tony was becoming more likely, so Clint stuffed the rest of his pizza in his mouth and brushed his hands together.
“Well, looks like this party is breaking up,” he said around the food. Chewing quickly, he swallowed it down. “Whaddya say, doc? Should I make an appointment for this,” Clint pointed to his bite mark, “or do you have an opening now?”
Bruce nodded his head. "The sooner the better," he replied, standing. Leaving the other boxes behind, Clint grabbed what remained of the one he and Natasha had been working on.
"I'm taking this to go. I feel like I could still eat a horse."
