MEMORY SHARE MEME That says memory share, not memeory share. Anyway, the gist is this: characters get a chance to share memories with another one. It can either be voluntary or involuntary (on both characters' parts. maybe discuss nonconsensual telepathy and shit ooc first). Mind melds, pensieves, jamjar situations forcing it on everyone, whatever. Sometimes you experience the memory like it's happening to you or sometimes you experience it as though spectating it. Sometimes you get to choose which memory and sometimes you don't. It all depends. Maybe it changes your relationship forever, maybe it catches you out in a lie. In any case, now you know something about each other you probably won't ever forget. • Top level your character. Include any details you might think are relevant, like what memory they would be sharing. Or don't, we're not the cops. • Reply to other people's top levels! • Have fun!

It's wreaked its damage on his body, left him weak and shut down in hopes of healing what it's caused, but beyond that, his mind's exhausted as well. His guard's down, and things start to slip through the cracks. Memories stirred up by the poisoning, dredged up like a hand dragged through silt, muddying up clear water.

The house is always burning around him.

Sometimes he's back in the basement again, Talia and the rest of the pack sequestered down there in a last resort. Sometimes the house burns while he's buried underneath the floor, lying on a bed of coals, dirt in his mouth and smoke in his eyes, and he's clawing, clawing his way out, splinters digging into his hands like needles.

When he bursts out of his grave, he stumbles and drops to his knees. His vision's hazy, blurred, everything indistinct. But dark. No blaze of flames. No choking ash and ember. That particularly scent's petered out into the faintest acrid tinge.

Instead, the cloying scent of incense lingers in the air. Agarwood.

[ aurelia is far from mastering the force. she had never tapped into the full magnitude of her powers when she had been alive, always sensitive and instinctive instead. ( and luke had respected that decision, despite discussions on the force they had sensed. ) though after being able to read old texts on code and instructions, she has managed to cover some bases. there is no saber wielding for her – not that she would agree to it anyway – but there are some things that she is able to do. like when rey, her rey, always with her questions, asks her for even more of her past. there is something to be said about the willpower of parents, mothers specifically, and she readily complies.

brushing the girl's hair away from her face, aurelia smiles gently and asks her to close her eyes as her fingers keep stroking through her hair as she rests her head in her lap.

what rey sees next are disjointed images of distant planets and cities, a young woman in a teal cloak, the profile of a handsome man with dark hair. aurelia in her prime, being courted by a pilot accompanying her on one of her missions. there are quiet parties and drinks, a flash of rings. and there's fighting, so much fighting, though the lady always hesitates to use a blaster. she prefers to address the public, attend meetings, hold the hands of the injured and healing.

what is clearest are the memories of a small girl hidden behind her tall forest green boots, holding onto the back of her jacket as she braids her own long blonde hair. my darling rey, your uncle korkie will watch over you while i am gone, she whispers into her hair once she kneels to embrace her.

aurelia is stunned by the last memory to resurface, her own motions frozen as her thought transfer dissolves. ]
