SNEAKING around shipping meme

Not everyone has the luxury of letting their romance be public. So you've had to keep everything subdued, secret, maybe even behind closed door. Of course, you may just enjoy the cloak and dagger of it all that comes with sneaking around with each other.

To avoid tl;dr, for the canonblind: tiny blonde girl with a free spirit, drifter tendencies, and baggage out the everything because of uncontrollable geomancer powers that are hinted to have a body count. )

( It wasn't safe for their relationship to be public, not for Josephine. Leliana still had reservations about the whole thing, not about Josie -- she knew, and loved the woman dearly, but about engaging in such a thing with her. She couldn't help but worry for her, worry that something may happen to her to spite Leliana, but Josie hadn't wanted to let the opportunity pass. Besides, it was their own affair. What better reason was for them to keep it private -- to keep something special just between themselves?

Leliana had been supposed to meet her that evening, though as it often did time had gotten away from her. The latest piece of information that Leliana had received was troubling her, and she couldn't quite make sense of it with everything else that she'd learned. She'd shared her concerns with Josie, who'd offered words and then the promise of taking her mind off of the problem.

It had been a promise that Leliana had kept in mind, though by the time she'd looked up again from her work it had become late. Very late. There was a very good chance that Josie would already be asleep, though if so Leliana would stay, catching a couple of hours rest before slipping off before the rest of Skyhold awoke.

She'd used the shadows to mask her trip to Josephine's room, slipping in the door and padding across the room with quiet steps )

Josie?

( The name is quiet still, just in case her love is asleep )

(No HoF, please. Her reason for secrecy could be as simple as having Kieran in the picture and not being ready to field questions about the relationship from him. Cross-canon and AUs doable. Fellow advisors, Divines, Celene, and Alistair especially welcome for this.)

[Depends on whose canon world we are sticking with. Unless you want to do crossover since technically Kairi could end up dumped in her world. Ruby could be helping her keep up her cover as a student and something sparks? ]

(OoC: I like that idea! Perhaps with Ruby hiding her, she's also training her to fight and one thing leads to another!)

[That would work! Kairi could also be on like, a mission from Yin Sid or something but because of the usual rules can't drop the whole 'I'm from another world' thing to anyone but Ruby finds out some kind of way and because it's Ruby, totally believes it and decides to help.]

(OoC: That would work wonders! Bonding through secrets! I can start if you want, but I'll have to hit it in the morning!)

Kairi let out a small sigh as she brought her Keyblade to bear once more. If there was something she hated to do, it was lie, but even with a good friend like Ruby around, she didn't have much choice. There was something here Yen Sid wanted her to find, but it proved to be a tough thing to hunt for.

Thus, she came up with the idea of being a Huntress in training, leading her to be approached by Ruby. She didn't seem to be too bothered by the redhead and her odd weapon, of course there were things she didn't expect.

"Thanks for helping me with this, Ruby." She said. "Never was good with swords much."

Bothered by weapons? Ruby Rose? She adored weapons of all kinds even if her own Crescent Rose would always be her first love. She would never have though a giant key could qualify as a sword, but Kairi's weapon was more than a sword. It was also the only thing that could vanquish her own world's version of Grimm - what were they? Souless? No, Heartless.

That was so unbelievably cool! It would have still been awesome just to be from another world.

"Really?" she raised an eyebrow. "Swords are great! It's hand to hand combat I can't really pull off well."

She admits that part a bit sheepishly, but she doesn't have the brute strength that her sister and father have. She's lighter on her feet really better at keeping her opponent at a distance than getting in close.

"I guess that's something we both have in common!" Kairi said with a laugh. True, fighting hand to hand against the Heartless isn't the best solution, either but some make it work. Kairi has just gotten started on this whole adventure thing and so having help from Ruby is a great asset.

"You think you not go easy? I mean, I don't think it would help if you did..."

"Muwha-ha-ha-ha!" Ruby put her hands on her hips and laughed. "Easy?"

She eyed Kairi faux-evilly.

"Going easy on people never helped them get stronger, so I promise not to!" she declared. Then as an aside she assured," Don't worry, my Uncle Qrow tought me how to do that without really hurting the student. And he was tipsy most of the time. You'll do fine."

Oh, dear - Ruby was making her think back to Sora. Such an energetic act she's putting on! Though, the part about her uncle made her worry just a bit.

"Alright, I'm putting all my trust into you, Ruby!"
