Or are you? There's a suspect in your disappearance, someone who absolutely had to take you away by force. The picture's clear to all outside parties. Except it isn't that clear cut. You've left, yes, and you've been taken, of course, but you weren't strong-armed into it. You went with this person, this suspect, of your own free will. Because you love them, because you can't be together otherwise, because they offer a better opportunity regardless of your feelings towards them, because you want to escape someone else you know for certain you can't love, or just because you can. Those people who believe you've been snatched away, they don't get it. They don't know you were given a choice...you took it. Character, info, role, prefs, what have you. Thread with others. Absolutely not, though my knowledge of RWBY is almost nonexistent :3 So long as it's plausible for Peter to crawl though Ruby's window on a fairly regular basis, there's not much we couldn't do. I imagine he's been attempting to charm her for a while with the end goal of taking her to Neverland and stealing her power, assuming that too is something not totally out of the realm of possibility.

Hands tied above her head, legs trying to lift up to see if she couldn't kick at her own knot - legs all but locked behind her head as she tried to find some traction to shove herself free. The gymnast was failing horribly to escape, but maybe she could bend her head enough to get a knife out of her boot and cut herself free.

Bats would never understand. Barb didn't really understand. THe way Harley made her heart beat during a fight, the way she could never quite bring herself to hit Harley. The way Ivy once gave her a choice, and she turned it down - and when given that same choice by Harley, she trashed her own apartment and then went after the blonde.


Heart beating so fast. "Harley?"

Harley was the unpredictable sort. It was best that she lived her life on the edge, never knowing what came next, because it gave her that excitement she craved. And besides, she was a little afraid of what would happen if she dropped the games, and was her 'real self' with someone else.

So when she offered that choice to Barb, and there was no immediate answer, Harley had gone on her way. Right now she was walking along the top of a half-cement wall that surrounded one of the downtown construction areas. She was humming to herself, pushing away any feelings of despair that might have been created.

Play nice. Put on a show. Never let them know that you are hurting.

So hearing her name made Harley pause, then spin slightly to look around. Seeing Barb coming her way, Harley didn't want to get her hopes up.

Instead, she just shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah? What's up?"

Barb never showed anything. Not how she had felt about red, not about her crush on Harley, not what was under her mask - even when she wasn't wearing it, how she felt was a secret that had to be kept at all costs. It had led to hesitation where there shouldn't have been any. Keeping things quiet - and then a sudden ruckus of noise. She knew her father would worry, that Batman would hunt, that she was maing a ridiculous decision.

Yet here she was. "You never waited for my answer."

Harley sat on top of the cement wall, looking down at Barb with a slight confusion.

"What was there to wait for?"

"Uh. Maybe... yes?" Barb swallowed, barely getting the word out. Then ran toward the concrete, flipping forward to catch hold of the wall and pull herself up.

Harley didn't move to help Barb up onto the wall, she just watched the other woman pull herself up.

"Maybe yes." She shook her head slightly.

"I ain't got time for maybes, sweet girl. I am blowing this Popsicle stand while I still can, before the major chaos hits the fan."

Barb reached out to try and catch Harley's hand. "So where are we going?" Before Bats got on the case.

Harley paused, considering if she could even trust the situation.

"I'm not saying. If you are coming, you have to come along blind and trusting. You gotta follow me wherever I may go, no matter where the journey takes us."
