Forgetting sounds good

- ▲ How to Play
- ⤷ Post with your character.
⤷ Maybe write a one/two liner scene intro, idea, and preferences.
⤷ Reply to other people and let the easy amnesia begin.
⤷ Profit. - ▲ Scenario Ideas
- ⤷ 1. HEAD-ON COLLISION: ...whoops. It was an honest mistake, really! You didn't see that car/tree/post/person/whatever coming, but now you're stumbling out of the wreckage sans memory. Better ask for help.
⤷ 2. WAIT, WHO ARE YOU?: Okay, so a while ago, you got into...something that caused you to lose your memory. Fortunately, you managed to get by and create a new identity for yourself. Unfortunately, someone new has just entered your life. Or should I say, someone who's a little too familiar...
⤷ 3. RINSE AND REPEAT: Sigh. Really, this is just so inconvenient. You wake up everyday with no memory of who you are, and have to figure it out over the course of the day, only to fall asleep and have to do it all over again the next day. Good thing someone's there to help you out, right? And what's with all those post-its and notes?
⤷ 4. THIS ROOM'S TOO WHITE: Welcome to the hospital. You've got an "Unknown" tag on your wrist, a healthy diet of bland hospital food, a steady trickle of doctors coming in to check up on you, and a TV, and nothing else. Looks like someone's coming to help you today, though! Here's to hoping they knew you before you lost your memory.
⤷ 5. I'M SUPPOSED TO DO WHAT?!: Oh, crap. There's something only you can do right now--that is, the you who didn't lose your memory, anyway. Better figure out a way out of this mess and how to control your strange abilities before it's too late.
⤷ 6. FIGHTING FOR THE WRONG SIDE: Uh, oh. Looks like your enemies decided to take advantage of your confused state and convinced you that you're on their side. Here's to hoping your allies can get you back to yourself before you cause some serious damage.
⤷ 7. JUST TOO TRAUMATIC: You just saw something that's so traumatic you lost your memory because of it. Unfortunately, right now, you have to remember it, or else something really bad happens. Hope you don't regret remembering this!
⤷ 8. I DON'T WANT THIS: You've been living a peaceful, ordinary life, for a while. And you'd rather it stay that way, because you're not sure if you'd want to remember what went before. Unfortunately, something's coming, and the key to stopping it lies in your memories.
⤷ 9. NO SUCH THING: Maybe you were a wizard, or a werewolf, or an angel, or a demon, or something else entirely before, or maybe you just knew about the masquerade. Sadly, you've been knocked on the head and now believe yourself to be a perfectly ordinary person. Magic? That doesn't exist, right? Anything can be explained with science, after all! Right?
⤷ 10. I'M WHO?!: And who the hell are you? Basically, this is the wild card option! Combine one of the above or make up a new one or whatever you want! Go wild!

Anyway, it's been a couple hours now, going by the clock, but he still gets a vague sense that something's wrong, though at the moment, what isn't? He alternately looks from the window, then back towards the Nogitsune, dozens of questions vying for their chance to escape: ]
So, [ he draws out, ] what's your name?
((ooc: let me know if this doesn't work for you, and tagging around work and things, so apologies in advance.))
(works perfect for me, and I agree on work)
[There's a look of false sadness on the Nogitsune's face as it looks over to Stiles in their shared bed. Dad had been happily lied to whether from Stiles mouth or the Nogitsune's cold influence. Stiles had returned and maybe sometimes he seemed to be two people standing there, but the great Sheriff had been too happy to look deeper.]
[Now, later, they were in bed with Stiles on one pillow and the Nogitsune on the other staring back at him.]
Shhh, Stiles. They don't see me. I died in the womb, our mother not able to keep both of us, but I've always been here for you. You kept me with you, the other half of you. Of us. So you'll never be alone. It was too terrible for you, to be in a world where no one understood you or even tried to. I was never given a name.
[Its head dips down as if expressing shame or upset before trying to snuggle closer to Stiles.]
I'm just Baby Boy Stilinski on my tombstone. Don't you remember me?
[Of course he didn't, which is what the Nogitsune is counting on. Hoping for.]
Do you remember the one you cared for? What is their name?
no subject
[ And that's without considering everything else.
Being haunted by ghosts wouldn't be the oddest explanation out there. What with the number of conspiracy theories and cryptids that exist. And he gets a vague flash sometimes, of stuff you would think existed only in movies. But mostly, it was emotion, and none of that was good/
Of course, there's the chance that this is all a hallucination. Though the hospital couldn't find a cause for his holey memories, there did seem to be some history.
Stiles shifts, turning towards the nogitsune so that he's leaning up on one elbow, an inquisitive frown on his face. The situation has an unsettling feel to it, still. And it hasn't gotten better. ]
No. But then my brain is a lot like those magic-8 balls right now. The future looks cloudy, try again later.
[ A beat. ] And if you're not answering anything because you think it's funny, I'll just make up increasingly weird names. You know I will.

47, Hitman
1ish?
"Take your time, you had quite a knock on the head," he says, letting the other man get his bearings. "You will have to pardon the ropes, you stumbled into the gardens in a daze and started attacking the children. It was an impressive amount of time before you could be stopped." Especially since the kids were mutants with superpowers.
"My name is Charles Xavier. Can you tell me your name?"
no subject
"I attacked children?" He looks horrified at the idea. "Are they alright?"
At the question of his name, he falls quiet, thinking. His head throbs when he tries to remember, but he persists. Something comes to mind, but... that can't possibly be it.
"The only thing I can remember is a number." A number can't be a name... can it?
no subject
He looks thoughtful, tenting his fingers together. "It is possible, there are stranger names." Not to mention the fact the man had a barcode on the back of his head. Then again, perhaps he didn't know.
no subject
"47. Does that have any meaning to you?" Other than the special properties of the number 47 itself, there's always the fact that it's the last two digits of that tattoo on the back of his head... the one he's forgotten and has no way of knowing about without a camera or a pair of mirrors.
He strains to remember the relevance of the number. A fraction of a memory comes to mind -- a letter. The rest of it he can't read, it's blurry in his memory, but "Dear 47" he can just make out.
"I think somebody called me that. 47." But why would his name be 47? He just can't let the oddity go.
no subject
47th...what? That was the question. He leans forward in his chair, speaking man to man as it were. "I may be able to help you. Are you familiar with genetic mutations in humans? Colloquially, the term is mutants but there is some negative implications with the name."
no subject
no subject
He knew some of these things were harder to believe than others. "My own mutation is telepathy. I may be able to find what memories you are having trouble remembering, if you allow it."
no subject
And when he thinks about it, he's a little worried of what he'll discover, too. A name like 47 can't be a good sign.
Still, he has to know. Slowly, he nods.
"If it's the only way."
no subject
"I personally would like to know if we should expect whoever injured you to come next."
He leans back in his chair, settling two fingers to his temple. "Go back to what you do remember..." He'll do his best to coax those memories out as safely as possible.
no subject
When he closes his eyes, though, he finds bits of light springing out of the darkness -- the nearest one forms into a hazy silhouette of Charles, shifting lazily between colors, sitting in the same way and the same spot. There are numerous other glowing, humanoid shapes farther away, in every direction.
The vision is accompanied by a stabbing pain to his third eye, strong enough to make him grunt and clasp his hands to his forehead. What was that?
no subject
He suspected the pain was from whatever had hit 47 on the head, be it accident or attack. "Careful, easy, try to think about your name instead." Long term memory would be more intact.

She has no idea why she was ordered to come here this afternoon, and though that isn't entirely out of the ordinary, it still never fails to make her nervous. Frontline business always means walking the line between following directives and procedures and making things work, and it's hard to go over everything they did recently, trying to figure out if something could be the reason for why she is walking down this corridor now, pulling a bit at the black sleeves of her jacket to straighten out the fabric as she tries to clear her mind.
Concentrate on code, she thinks, that always works, and spends a few seconds rewriting some that she wrote the other night to respond to a slightly shifted perimeter before knocking at the door in front of her. She'd really rather be out there, but alas...

Julie liked to think that she had adapted to the 21st century well. Her age rarely did anything to make her stand out. She was used to most technological advances, but computers, well, she had problems with computers. It wasn't that she didn't know how to use them. She had the basic understanding she needed to use them in her work, but it was just that. Basic. And it didn't help that whenever she used them, they seemed inevitably to malfunction.
A woman's voice came from inside the room.
"Please come in. And shut the door behind you."
The office was nice. Nicer than most and large. It was clear that whoever worked here was important. The woman in question wore an immaculate white suit and heels. She was Asian, well groomed, and very pretty. She smiled as she rose to meet Charley. It was a friendly smile, perfectly welcoming, but there was no warmth in it. She offered a well manicured hand in greeting.
"Agent Mason. I'm Dr. Julie Wen. I'm glad you've come."
no subject
There were a couple of things that she could have said to that, but she went with the sensible option and asked.
"It's my pleasure. What can I help you with?"
She was very average in every way, forgettable even, a woman in her mid-twenties with medium length, straightened hair and very neat, upper class pronunciation and a posture and state of dress to match. She'd been raised to be very proper, and while she prefers to not be, it coming to her naturally through long years of practice is very useful a lot of times. Like now. She'd heard of Dr. Wen, not much, but coupled with just how nice this office was it seemed like a good idea to be at her best behaviour, so to speak.
no subject
"It's my computer I'm afraid." Julie didn't bother to hide her exasperation, and became in the process a little more human. She frowned at the hated machine, then looked to Charley. "I've been told that you're good..."
She would need to be. Julie had no concept of just how fried the thing was, but the longer it remained in her presence, the more it seemed to malfunction. She had also possibly been hacked. Thankfully the network wasn't where she kept the really sensitive information.
no subject
She stepped a bit closer, her eyes on the computer she assumed was the offending object, and then quickly wandering, trying to get an idea of what it was connected to, aka what else might have been affected or what else might have affected the computer.
"This one? What seems to be the problem?"
