(Or enemy texting, if that's more your bag.) instructions: What it says on the tin! Leave a comment with your character, include preferences, a start, absolutely nothing or whatever you want. Run around and reply to others. Lather, rinse, repeat. |
they are both nerds it's fine
[It's a shame he's not into volleyball, really.]
.... I don't know how he stands him >_>
195 cm.
[ At 6'5 he towers over most people he knows, including Bokuto. ]
You said you wear knee pads.
[ Change of subject anyone? ]
Lol it goes both ways! Though Midorima is very adorable
[Bokuto was used to being towered over, and stood on his tip toes experimentally for a second, before shrugging and feeding the machine more coins. He had a job to do.
The mention of the kneepads made him laugh, shooting him an amused look out of the corner of his eyes.]
Yeah! I have a lucky pair that I wear every game! I don't know what I'm going to do when they get too beaten up to wear in official matches anymore.
Midorima is a spoiled child. Bokuto is the adorable one here!
With lucky items one has to be careful. [ A taped finger comes up. ] Knee pads are mainly constructed of synthetic fabric that is susceptible to wear and tear. Washing them by hand is your only option. When the elastic becomes worn, I suggest taking them to a seamstress. Their needlework should restore them without much damage.
[ He looks at him, serious in his expression. ]
But it falls to you. If you lack the proper discipline to take care of them then whatever fate befalls them will reflect back on you.
[ A warning. ]
they are both spoiled and adorable. ngl now i am tempted to watch your guy's canon...
[Bokuto had never thought about how important his kneepads were, and how if they wound up being too worn to wear at an official match, that might affect his playing. He wanted to say that he could remember something as important as care for his own belongings, but honestly, he couldn't.
He fished out his phone quickly, scrolling to Akaashi's number.]
Text all that information to this number please! And if you have a needle person you recommend, that'd be good too!
[Bokuto just how much do you take advantage of your underclassmen.]
1/2 | What's funny is that they don't even find the other strange, whatsoever!
I've texted them all the relevant information. Your knee-pads should be secured from now on if you follow the instructions I left.
2/2 | ngl they're some similarities. He's got an Akashi too, but he's a friend turned rival :|
What sports do you play?
bokuto is the last person who can judge for strangeness. and oh no :(
Still, Bokuto looked genuinely grateful, shooting the other guy a huge grin.]
Oooh, thanks! I'm glad I ran into you! Could you imagine what would have happened if they had been worn down?
[Because he was sure his teammates and family would have just told him to stop crying and just get a new pair. Clearly, they wouldn't have understood.
He maneuvered the claw back over the penguin, lowering it over the stuffed animal with sharp eyed precision.]
Volleyball! I'm really good at it!
[He puffed out slightly, clearly ready to start bragging. Brace yourself Midorima or cut it off before it began.]
He's livelier than this stick in the mud. At least he knows how to smile!
Volleyball? He knows the sport, has played it during his physical education classes but he's never seen it played competitively. Neither Shuutoku nor Teikou were known for their volleyball programs after all, so he has little experience to draw on. ]
What position do you play?
[ He asks as he discreetly looks over at the claw, hoping he'll get his prize this time around. ]
it is okay, he can teach Midorima, there is hope!
The question makes Bokuto beam at the other boy, chest puffing out with pride.]
Wing spiker! And I'm captain and ace of our team! I'm really good!
[Bokuto please. Still, to help him concentrate, it was better not to talk about volleyball just this instance, just this once.
The claw closed on the penguin, bringing it up shakily towards the chute. So close, so close, so close!]
What about you? What position? Shooting guard?
[He'd briefly tried a bunch of other sports just to see which one he liked the best, before volleyball had stolen his heart.]
Teach him, senpai!
Captain? [ He was the ace of the team but the captains were always his senpai's... He looks at him. ] What year are you?
[ Midorima is polite to his senpai's even if his actions piss them off and have them threatening to throw a pineapple at him, he's never forgotten his manners. But this person reminded him so much of his freshman partner that he didn't think he was...
He blinks. Position? Oh. Right. He pushes up his glasses, needing a moment to compose his thoughts. ]
That is correct. I'm the shooting guard and my shots never miss.
[ Never. His three-pointers put down any possibility of a comeback most of the time. And it's because of his accuracy that he was recruited and allowed three selfish requests everyday. ]
omg is bokuto older... this could be very terrible
[He couldn't be offended by such a disbelieving reaction, mostly because most people tended to be surprised that he was responsible enough to even get to volleyball practices on time, much less be the captain. The other question was met with a small shrug as Bokuto watched the crane move the penguin closer and closer, eyes narrowed as if he could will the claw to stop wriggling ominously.]
I'm a third year! What about you?
[Bokuto only nodded when the other boy confirmed his suspicions. If this guy was on his team, he could tell he'd be a handful. He seemed like the type where it would be difficult to help him meld with the team.
Still, that ability was pretty impressive, and Bokuto grinned.]
Yeah? After this do you want to play the basketball game?
[Bokuto no.]
1/2 | He is... why?? o_o
First year.
[ A small formal bow. ]
I apologize for my earlier conduct.
[ Short and simple. He hopes it'll be enough because Midorima didn't have a good record with his older classmen in general. ]
2/2
[ However, that question wasn't the answer he was expecting. A slow blink as he processes the request, then a slow predatory grin tugs on his lips. ]
Don't expect me to go easy on you.
because it means midorima is probably going to get roped into babysitting duty. sorry in advance
Don't worry about it! All my underclassman are way worse! But if you feel badly about it, you can call me 'Bokuto-san'.
[Bokuto please. He was so caught up in being a generous and gracious senpai that he almost forgot about the penguin plushie, which dropped almost without a sound into the chute. Happily, he reached in and handed it over to the boy, his own grin sharpening.]
Hey, hey, who would want you to? Let's go!
..... Babysitting who???
Thank you, Bokuto-san.
[ Formal, again. But it's obvious he's relieved and a little happy that he's got his hands on the oversized plushie that looks absolutely ridiculous under his arm. With is lucky item in-arm, Midorima turns towards the game deeper in the arcade. ]
It's this way.
[ He knows, he gets full points every time. ]
bokuto
[He slapped him on the back one more time for good measure ( was it starting to become apparent now why all of his underclassmen might be so rude to him? ) before grabbing the bag full of coins to follow after him.]
What's with the penguin anyway? Are they your favorite bird?
...... No. You can't have someone who has his own babysitter, babysit someone else. He'll lose him!
Cancer's lucky item is a penguin today. The bigger, the better.
[ Hence why he wasn't satisfied with the ones at the store that only came up to foot at best where this one was two and a half feet. ]
clearly this should happen because it would be hilarious.
[He paused to glance behind him back at the machine, torn. The claw machine had been fun, but basketball could be fun too... Why were decisions so difficult to make.]
Bokuto. Welcome to your worst babysitting session.
[ And with that he wraps a hand over the big white belly of the bird and heads on over to the basketball hoop machine, all the while drawing rapt attention from the kids who stopped in their play to stare at the tall green-haired guy with the penguin. He made quite a sight, not that Midorima paid attention to them. When they reach the electronic hoops, Midorima points to the coin slot, expecting him to feed the machine. ]
Or would it be the best?
[Still, Bokuto didn't seem to be too upset either way, following after him towards the hoops game. If he noticed the kids who were watching them, he didn't mention it, instead eagerly feeding the machine some coins, both for him and the other guy.]
Loser has to buy snacks! I'm starving!
[Bokuto do you really think you're going to win...]
You are very evil... I see that now. :|
No.
[ And heads out. While, he's inputting the coins, Midorima finds a safe spot for his penguin. Once secured, the shooting guard looks up at the baskets and once the challenge is laid out, three fingers come up to push up his glasses, hiding a knowing smirk. ]
You're on.
[ Words punctuated by the very precise manner in which he begins unwrapping his fingers, one by one, revealing the skin beneath, callous and hard. ]
wow that is so rude but also very true.
What? I could be a lucky charm too! It'd make the penguin doubly lucky!
[As the other boy started unwrapping the bandages around his fingers, Bokuto let out a slight whistle. He would know the signs of hard work and dedication, no matter what the sport. It only made his blood pump even more, even if this was only a silly arcade game he would take it seriously. He licked his lips briefly, getting himself situated and ready as the timer started counting down before the flood of basketballs would be released.
Three... Two... One...
As soon as the balls came tumbling, Bokuto started shooting like crazy. It'd been a while since he'd played this, and he was definitely going to miss as many as he got in.]
Midorima will make you obedient. It's what he does.
It sounds like they would be fun lol. Bokuto can be obedient and disobedient in turns
Best two out of three?!
[Bokuto the results would be the same regardless.]
It does! Midorima does not take disobedience well.
Oh dear... Well I look forward to whatever happens...
