[Moral and ethical questions were beyond a spirit's understanding. Nor did it care to attempt to. All of that is white noise to an inhuman creature.]
As I said, I understand, Hale. You're a weak fleshy creature. I know.

[ Weak fleshy creature indeed— not as weak as a human, that's for sure, but he'll play it up a bit in anticipation of finding the fox invading his home at all hours. ]

I don't experience 'fondness', wolf. I'm a spirit, not a person or werecreature.
[Or it could be lying.]
If not Stiles, then I would have taken someone else. I considered Argent's daughter for a time but she was too close to him and dangerous. They probably had codewords for each other that I would have had to dig hard to find. Derek would have been too obvious, but he always attacked me physically before anyone. Couldn't you have taught him better to learn about something before trying to tear into them?

He thinks it's definitely lying about the fondness thing. Experiencing emotions overall— it has to be able to distinguish them and feel them to some extent to be capable of understanding pain. But he keeps it to himself. ]
I can teach him, but I can't change his nature. Maybe he'll grow out of it. Tearing something to pieces before it can do harm isn't the solution to everything, though you can't argue with his logic.
You like being near Stiles.

In his point of view maybe I had already done harm, now that you mention it. I was in someone he considered a pack member. Hm.
[That isn't something the Nogitsune had considered with hosts being as disposable to it as someone else might toss aside a used paper towel.]
Do I? Is that what you would call it? He is familiar even with his hatred and nightmares. No other creature in all his life will ever understand or accept him as I do. I suppose that could be sad in his human terms or whatever you all call it. Then again, others of your kind might not be able to stand someone knowing every single thought, supposed sin or feeling they've ever had, not to mention know the reason for it.
