Matt didn't fully manifest as a Sentinel until after the accident. There was always the question hanging over him after that - was it his abilities as a Sentinel or something different that gave him highly enhanced senses and reflexes? To Matt, it didn't matter. He struggled as an unbonded Sentinel, counting on Foggy or Karen to help pull him out of any fugue states when he was too overwhelmed to process the sudden influx of stimuli.

It wasn't perfect, but it was enough to keep Matt grounded.

The Hand was on the move again. Matt was tracking the small group along the rooftops, following the sound of a fight. He drops down into the battle, setting his shoulder against the man struggling to hold his own. They would take them down together.
