Haunted House Meme

Everyone knows to stay away from the large empty house on the hill. It’s haunted. But maybe you’re seeking a thrill, or maybe you’re searching for something lost or locked away. Maybe you are the ghost haunting the old building. Maybe your car has stalled, and the house on the hill is the only building for miles. But is it empty, or is there something waiting?
Leave a comment with your character's name, fandom, any preferences you have, and what brought your character to this haunted location.
Feel free to play any level of leisurely exploration of creepy buildings or intense survival horror!

The Haunting
A. Ghosts. Creepy, tragic, and possibly violent, they’ve got unfinished business in this world and you’re the unsuspecting victims who have just become the targets for their wrath.
B. Creatures. Unearthly monsters summoned from a hell-dimension or mutations created by a mad scientist, this is their house now, and they are fascinated and hungry.
C. The People in the Walls. Someone—or several someones—have been living in this house. They’re no longer human anymore, and their sanity has been frayed to the very edge. They’ve been surviving on mice and bats until now. But now you're here, and don't you look delicious?
D. The House Itself. Maybe it was built evil, or maybe it became evil after the horrible deeds that were committed in it. The very walls of the house are soaked with blood, and the house is angry, and hungry. It has you now, and it doesn’t plan to let you out.
E. The Cabin in the Woods Experiment. None of this is natural phenomena. You don’t know it yet, but you’re part of a larger experiment. You’re the rats in the maze, and the scientists are observing—and toying with—your every move.
F. Choose your own horror movie plot!

No rush on tagging; I am more than happy to start a thread when you've had rest and iconning time! o7]

Because apparently my first thought is "Vivi goes to her favorite haunted house where, coincidentally, she and Lewis had their first date".
Also do you have a preference for her remembering Lewis/figuring out the hunky magenta ghost was her boyfriend? Iirc her memory of anything to do with him was wiped away, but I like the idea of her having things that don't make sense like a stuffed alpaca or a Sailor Moon charm.
Just throwing things out there.]

And apologies if this is the only reply from me tonight; I had a long workday and have an early one tomorrow so I might crash soon.]

[The past few months have been... weird.
And not that good kind of weird where you feel the hair on the back of your neck stand up or the weird that makes your heart race with excitement. It's that weird where everyone around you seems to have a secret and they're doing their best to keep you in the dark. The weird that feels like everyone beat an awesome video game that you haven't bought or watched a movie you haven't seen and you're not allowed to know about either.
Vivi decided to take a much needed day off from Tome Tomb, switched her phone off, and headed alone to the outskirts of town.
The place had never been 'haunted'. No icy chills in the hallways. No unexplained thumps in the walls that couldn't be attributed to rats or the occasional raccoon. No ghostly moans from upstairs except some rusted hinges.
Hardly scary in a paranormal sense.
But the house had a sentimental value to it. Opening the heavy door and hearing the creaks of the floorboards released butterflies in her stomach and warmed her heart. When Arthur had the accident at the shop and he and Mystery started acting more jittery than before, her mind would occasionally wander towards that house. In some strange explanation, it was like she was in love with it.
Letting the entrance slam behind her (at least the sound added some level of creepy ambiance to a rather lackluster 'haunted house'), Vivi took slow, deliberate steps inside, shining her flashlight in each corner.]

He thinks he just about has it down, now. And he has a plan. He'll lure that traitor in, take care of him, reunite with Vivi. If nothing else, it'll put his soul to rest, because just being like this is... hard. Painful.
Lewis had sometimes wondered why the ghosts and spirits they'd occasionally encountered were the way they are, but he thinks he gets it now. He can't say it was something he really wanted to understand so intimately, though.
With his planning nearly done, however, he'd found himself drifting back to a particular old house at the edge of town. It certainly did have sentimental value - he still remembered bringing Vivi here on their first real date, the glitter in her eyes and thrill in her voice despite there being no true hauntings here. He remembered the two of them going up to the dusty old attic, finding no interesting trinkets but sitting for a moment in each other's arms and watching the moonrise out the tiny round window.
He's there in that attic, regarding that window mournfully and soaking in the memories of the place when he hears the slam of the door. Of all the awful timings, what was someone doing here now? His eye sockets narrow in annoyance, but he decides to see just who is interrupting his reminiscing, and sinks back through the floor. It sounds like whoever it is is still in the main hall - he'll take care not to be seen for now.
Vivi might still catch an odd flicker of eerie magenta light out of the corner of her eye, however.]

Nothing.
Maybe it was nothing.
Still, she continues on, walking through the rooms and pointing her light at the decayed, graffiti covered walls. Unsettling, yes, but her heart was drawing her further upstairs. As if something was waiting for her there.]
Hello?
[Vivi's watched enough horror movies and seen enough paranormal documentaries to know what not to do in these circumstances. Like yell 'hello' and walk in the direction you're being drawn to. But temptation was too strong. She couldn't shake that feeling of something beckoning her closer.]
