It's the middle of the night and you're trying to catch some z's, or brooding alone in the alleys as one does, when your phone rings and dings and suddenly a stranger or a friend is texting you. What could they possibly want at this time? Is it important? Stupid? Are they drunk or maybe just needy? Pick up your phone and find out!

[Knowing Yuuri as he does, Phichit can probably imagine the choking sound he'd made while reading the newest text.]

WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT VIKTOR'S DICK OVER TEXT

[ He is cackling so hard right now oh gosh, he can imagine just how flustered that made Yuuri. ]

So can we talk about it in person, then? It's nice, isn't it? How big is it anyway? I always assumed he was fairly hung.

[yokunaru]

[Why is he friends with you again?]

You're doing it on purpose!

Please get on skype so I can hang up on you properly for this.

[selfies]

[ Actually is calling on Skype! He really needs to see Yuuri's face right now bahahaha. ]

[yokunaru]

[Yuuri picks up almost immediately. As Phichit probably suspected, his face is still very obviously red.]

We're not talking about it in person either. Or through skype--you know what I mean.

[selfies]

[ E x c e l l e t. Phichit is giggling because he can't help it. Sorry, bro. ]

Oh, come on!

[ More giggling. Then, a moment later, once he contains himself a bit— ]

How is everything over there, anyway?

[yokunaru]

Phichit. [Yuuri just squawks his name out as emphatically as possible, even setting his phone down on the desk to hide his face.]

It's been busy. [His voice is muffled by his hands.] It's going to take a while to unpack everything.

[selfies]

What? If you're this embarrassed he must be huge.

[ Risking actually being hung up on here. One day he'll stop. Maybe. ]

I bet Viktor is happy to have you in his hometown though.

[yokunaru]

I--[Yuuri stammers, too flustered to even think about hanging up at this point.] I only know because of the onsen!

Let's go back to talking about Seung-Gil!

[selfies]

[ Yuuri may not be looking at his screen right now but I'm sure he hears the thunk as Phichit's head hits his desk. ]

Can we not? Teasing you is much more fun.

[yokunaru]

[Yuuri lifts his head to shoot Phichit a grumpy look.]

Fine, if I talk about Viktor, you have to talk about Seung-Gil. Deal?

[selfies]

[ Phichit eyes his screen a moment before he lifts his head, setting his chin onto his palm, giving a noncommittal hum. ]

I was only teasing about Viktor. There's not really much else to say about Seung-gil. At least not until he answers back, if he does.

[ A small laugh. Then, a little more seriously— ]

I haven't really thought it out what this all means with him and I'm not sure how committed I am to the idea of anything actually with him. It's just nice to talk and flirt, I suppose. Anything long distance, no matter how close South Korea is to Thailand might be a bit... I don't know, complicated.

[ His tone turns wistful. Dating has taken a backseat for him for a long time now, so he hasn't really had to think about it before. Yuuri got lucky, him and Viktor don't have to worry about that, really. Even after Yuuri finishes competing Phichit imagines him staying in Russia or Viktor going back to Japan with him. Phichit would have to go possibly months without seeing Seung-gil. ]

[yokunaru]

[The irritation seems to fade from his expression as he props his chin up on his hand and watches Phichit through the screen. He's quiet, eyes faraway for a moment before he replies.]

Living in two different countries can still work, if you both want it to. [He pauses.] I've known you long enough to know that you can flirt pretty easily, but you wouldn't have texted me if you weren't actually worried about what Seung-Gil thought of you, right?

[selfies]

[ Phichit looks thoughtful, considering Yuuri's words. He hadn't thought about that, actually. Normally he would shrug it off, he's not sure why Seung-gil's opinion matters so much. ]

Hmm... you might be right about that. Maybe I do like him? And thinking I possibly screwed up with him made me panic and text you.

[ Yeah. He does like him. Huh. ]

That's what Skype's for, right? Long distance. You're right about making it work, too. Now the question is do I want it to work.

[ He looks at Yuuri through the screen, eyes shining a bit as he looks hopeful. ]

...I think I might. Wish me luck?

[yokunaru]

[Yuuri's face lights up with a gentle smile once Phichit puzzles through it all and arrives at an answer.]

I'll always wish you luck. I want you to be happy. [Sappy as it might sound, Yuuri hadn't thought he would ever be this happy. Content in a passive way, maybe, if he managed to achieve the goals he'd set for himself. Love had never really been a priority for him until Viktor breezed into his life. And now all he wants is for Phichit to find that same kind of happy warmth, too, if it's what he's looking for.]

You'll let me know what happens when he replies, right?
