ARGUMENTS/VENTING MEME Sometimes you're so pissed off that you just can't keep it in. Or you're upset, frustrated, sad - whatever is causing it, it's time for an outburst. Whether you're in a two-sided argument, a one-sided ripping apart of someone else, or just an old man yelling at a cloud (or your friend, who is patiently pretending to listen and agreeing once in a while for appearances), you have to get it out before it explodes from inside you. Be careful, though: what's going to happen in the aftermath? Is a friendship or relationship irreparably broken or can you get past it? Does your venting session help you or make things worse? Does yelling at someone cause the final battle music to start? Maybe don't monologue at the big villain (or hero) next time, huh? Maybe your argument is just something ridiculous. • Top level your character. Include any details you might think are relevant. Or don't. [ They're in the thick of the war. Steve and the Commandos have just returned to London after a particularly slapdash mission that ultimately saw the destruction of another Hydra base but not without difficulty or injury. Peggy, for her part, had been on her own assignment elsewhere on the continent and hadn't been on hand to help, either to coordinate efforts from behind the front lines or charging over them with her boys. So she hears of it all in the report given to Colonel Phillips and successful or not, her concern for the men — for Steve — boils over into her temper and she storms from the table the moment they're dismissed.

God, the risks they take! And with the promise of the war being over by Christmas! They just need to hold out for the next few months. And Peggy knows it's a vain sort of hope to harbour, this idea of a future where they all survive unscathed; and she knows she's just as bad as the Commandos are when it comes to risky ventures for the good of the mission. But for all that it feels like they're mired in this endless godforsaken conflict, sometimes it feels like they just might make it through so why tempt fate? And Steve —

She hears his footfalls in her wake and she rounds the corner into a more secluded part of the underground base before she whirls on him. ]

What the bloody hell was that? You're lucky none of you were captured or killed, charging into enemy lines half-cocked!

[ It's unfair, she thinks distantly, to snap at him like this when she wasn't there to see the calls he had to make in the field. But she's tired and she'd like a bath and with the rationing on it feels like she hasn't had a full meal in years and, more than any of that, she is so bloody worried that one day they won't make it home. Any of them. Sure, the army will say that their concern is because there's only one supersoldier, only one Captain America.

But for Peggy? It's because there's only one Steve Rogers. ]

Horatio's learning. That's what makes this worth it; healthier-- Horatio's actually trying, when difficulties come up. It's a relief. It makes things much easier.

It means that, on a rare occasion when Horatio's home, Archie feels more comfortable expecting a more undivided attention.

Feels more comfortable, when the day ends up spoiled by Horatio getting distracted by the navy, gently confronting his boyfriend when they're back in the apartment for the night.
