[Amy doesn't know what it is about Sam but she just can't stop thinking about him. Not since that first time she spotted him across the college campus. It must have taken her weeks and weeks to finally pluck up the courage to talk to him and she found out that he was...well, amazing. That's the only word she can think of to describe him. The only thing was, he didn't seem to be interested in her the same way she was with him...at least that's what her mind is telling her.

But she can't seem to get away from him, they just keep bumping into each other everywhere they go. Not that she minds in the slightest. Being a physical education student she's out for her daily run and she bumps into him again, this time literally.]

Tony doesn't even realize when he does it. It worked so well in the beginning, because there was passion and lust and need and everything was perfect because there were no lingering thoughts of the what ifs and the fact that he fails so spectacularly at committed relationships (and he can confirm this with very clear statistics and graphs if need be). It worked well because they both knew each other so intimately without real intimacy for years and years - or Pepper knowing Tony intimately because it was her job - so adding actual intimacy into the mix shouldn't be such a big deal, right?

Yeah. Sure.

But really, there are things Tony doesn't even realize he does. The endless hours in the shop without eating, a little too much drinking, glancing in the direction of a nice pair of x chromosomes on the street, or even acknowledging Pepper's presence when she was actually in the room, because that was what they were before, so why should it be any different now?

There are occasional snippets of affection, of course there are. But on the rough days they can be few and far between. Like now, when he's down in his shop elbow deep in his Iron Man armor, covered in grease with tears in his black tank that show the bruises from his last excursion with the Avengers. The reactor is the only main light source in the area, and he doesn't seem to notice Pepper's even entered the room, still rambling to Jarvis about equations and semantics and things only geniuses and their personal AI can really talk about together.

[It's been years since he first set eyes on Quinn Fabray and now? Well now he's finally made it, he's finally the star that he's always wanted to be. It took him a long time but he made it. And he's more than happy to see the ghost of Grace Kelly herself in the front row of his opening show next to her now friend Rachel and Finn. She looks bored but hopefully he'll change that.

Of course the show went perfectly and without a hitch and when the three of them joined him in his dressing room after the show he was glad, if only to see more of Quinn. She's more breathtaking than he remembered. Rachel and Finn went off somewhere and it was just the two of them...somehow after throwing insults at each other they now have their mouths pressed against each others hungrily, Jesse pressing Quinn against the dressing room door.]

Damn it, Fabray. Why haven't we done this before?
