Let people talk. Jyn was almost perfectly content with what she and Krennic got up to behind closed doors. Which ... was not nearly as salacious as some might hope ... including Jyn herself! Despite the fact that they'd fallen into a very particular kind of intimacy, he was still adamant about taking their time, which Jyn could respect ... in a very grudging sort of way. She knew exactly what she wanted, he still had his doubts, and Jyn had never been a paragon of patience, but the thought of taking the steps forward into something grander than hurried and not-so-hurried makeouts, both of which she enjoyed immensely, the sort of easy flirtation that seemed to come as naturally as breathing, and the simple pleasure of just being together was exciting enough to keep her ... hoping for it.
("You and Krennic?", Cassian had asked, days after finding the pair of them wrapped up in each other, fast asleep. Jyn hadn't had much of an answer other than "We're taking our time", but he'd seemed to understand. And so, the way they danced around each other came to a halt. They were colleagues, first and foremost, he was her superior, and they were certainly friends. But respectfully, he'd pulled away, a patient enough man to wait and see where things would lead.)
She couldn't help smirking just so, ever amused by the sarcasm she could read in even the smallest gesture. "See that you do", she answered, a lift in her voice betraying her amusement. The conversation with Bram, she thought his name was, came to an end the instant that Krennic joined them - a little bit dirty, but not any less charming. And as much as Jyn would love to keep a straight face, to act as though she didn't have any ulterior motives at all, she could not hide the way her lips twisted up into an entirely too amused smile, however fleetingly it lasted. "Why don't we head inside so I can explain?"

Cassian had actually brought it up to Krennic, too, though in an off-handed sort of way. It was the way two men talked, while not really talking about it at all. They weren't emotional, that was for certain. And after the rather short 'talk,' Krennic had the distinct impression that the intelligence officer had just threatened him, should he ever have the mind to hurt Jyn. Honestly, it was a bit sweet when he thought about it later, and also amusing but then... he wouldn't put it past the stoic, younger man.
Once he was standing in front of her, he really didn't bother to hide the little smile playing about his lips. He nodded to her suggestion, lazily gesturing for her to board his ship. "After you." Krennic also gave a nod to the man she'd been talking to, since obviously he was not invited. With that, he followed her on board his ship, a ship she should've been quite familiar with by now.
"So tell me, would you prefer if I washed up a bit before our discussion, Sergeant, or does this whole greasy thing work for you?" he drawled, once they were good and alone and he just couldn't help himself.

And the makeouts. It would be a lie to say that Jyn didn't enjoy those with every fiber of her being, even when they ended far too soon for her liking, leaving her breathless and wanting, every atom in her body cried out for more, and he did not answer the call, leaving the pair of them frustrated and aching for each other, and ... she had to believe that Krennic had his reasons, and that they were good reasons, otherwise she could not understand why they couldn't just ... give into their obviously shared desires.
It was difficult, sometimes, but Jyn would like to think that the good outweighed the bad.
Thankfully, she hadn't been clued in to the conversation between Cassian and Krennic, and wouldn't know what to think about it if she had. On the one hand, it was nice to know that she had someone on her side, watching out for her, but on the other, no threats needed to be leveled, as she was an adult, and was more than capable of taking care of herself, which both men were intimately familiar with. Still, she'd be mortified if she knew, no matter how civil the conversation had been.
Her eagerness to step aboard the ship was obvious in the way that she nearly bounded up the gangplank, glad to be away from superfluous conversation and the ever-present prying eyes. And as he joined her, Jyn could hardly help her pleased little chuckle. "I like you fine like this, but you should wash up a bit, anyway. It wouldn't do for me to go back out there covered in grease, now would it?"
And she had every intention of getting close now that they were alone.

Truly, it was Jyn's fault for turning him into the somewhat sentimental sap he had become.
Meanwhile, at her comments, he smirked lightly in amusement. He raised his brow at her, expression cheeky. "You know, I should probably just have at it in my current condition. A little grease never killed anybody... and it would certainly make all those lovely rumors fly about the base again when they saw you looking so ruffled." Krennic had been advancing on her slowly as he spoke, and when he was close enough he reached out to touch her cheek, cupping it lightly in one hand. He stroked her cheek lightly for a moment.
...and then, of course, he just pulled away, still smiling crookedly. Of course, in the process he left a swipe of grease behind on her cheek, and it made his smile broaden into a grin. "Be right back, sweetheart. Make yourself at home. Pour yourself a drink." He gave her a good-natured wink, before turning to head to the 'fresher. Krennic wasn't actually going to wash up completely, just enough so that he would be somewhat decent and presentable enough for her.

Sentimental sap or not, Jyn had a good time with Krennic.
Hell, she was having a good time just watching the way he advanced on her, slowly, but not without a predatory edge to his movements. Jyn could hardly be called prey, though, and stood her ground until he was breaching her personal space, laughing softly in agreement. "Mm, I think you just want to see me lay into the next person to make another comment about us." Still, despite the coolness of her tone, she could not hide the way her cheeks flushed in response to the way that he looked at her, nor the way her lips twitched upward even more as he caressed her cheek.
(He was sure to leave a little grease behind, but in the moment, Jyn couldn't quite bring herself to care.)
"I think you like it when you get me so ruffled", she managed to reply, more than charmed by that momentary small, crooked smile. "Don't be long, darling, we do actually have those changes to discuss."
Nothing important, though. Nothing that can't wait until they've indulged in each other first. It had been a long morning, after all, full of nothing but protracted, boring briefings. Surely, she couldn't be blamed for wanting a little time away from it all.

"I do enjoy seeing you all riled up," he smirked, all smugness and cocky attitude, but it was true. Little though she might be, Jyn was a fighter through and through. He liked that about her.
Fortunately, it didn't take long to wash up a bit, just to be presentable enough for her. His hair was still a bit on the wild side of the scale, but it was usually like that on his better days, anyway. He at least slicked it back a bit with some water, but he'd get the gritter bits of grease out completely later on. For now, he really didn't want to keep that attractive young woman waiting. Keep her waiting too long, after all, and he thought he might lose her interest. Sometimes, he wasn't quite sure why she hadn't lost interest in him already, if he was being honest with himself.
He'd swapped his shirt for a cleaner one too, and was just toweling off his hands and the back of his neck when he headed back in. "So about these changes," he began lightly as he approached her, tossing the towel haphazardly to land over a chair. "Can they wait for just a bit? Or are we talking life and death, here?" It was obvious he didn't really care if they were serious, of course, if the way he got right into her personal space said anything. Or the way he settled his hands on her lips as if they belonged there, drawing her in closer. Or perhaps the way he leaned down to nuzzle his nose into her neck and then his lips, pressing them gently to the skin just beneath her earlobe, then up along her jawline slowly.

If they were meant to be anything more, it would happen in its own time. And despite the well-known fact that Jyn was not exactly the most patient person in the galaxy, she felt that maybe, in this case, the waiting would be well worth the reward.
She laughed softly, nodding her agreement, unable to keep her cheeks from flushing a pleasant, pretty pink. She could certainly be tough when the situation called for it, but in moments like this, she'd learned that there was no harm in letting her guard down, sharing who she was underneath all of that ... coarseness. "Don't I know it!"
Her datapad long forgotten, Jyn spent the handful of minutes she was left to herself procuring glasses and drink alike, although she was certain that it might be a little while before they actually partook. After all, Jyn had made her intentions very clear when she'd arrived, and all with only a surreptitious glance, a sly smile. She'd get to the business at hand, of course, but not until some of her other desires were indulged first.
There was no helping the pleased smile she shared once he returned, nor the way her eyes lit up with her amusement and admiration. "Took you long enough", she answered, sighing and shrugging as though she was really quite bothered by the prospect of saving the boring talk for later. "They'll hold."
The changes would add twenty minutes, give or take, to the journey as a whole. So, no, it wasn't nearly as important a conversation as Jyn had perhaps made it out to be. And then, he was breaching her personal space like it was his job, and she was flushing a pretty pink as she allowed herself to be coaxed all the closer, the color deepening as she made a highly embarrassing little noise in response to the first touch of lips to skin.
It was so easy, after all, to get lost in the haze of desire that even the simplest act could produce.
