you are not looking forward to tomorrow, for whatever reason - perhaps you're in the ending stages of war and the final battle is imminent, perhaps you'll be leaving for an extended period of time, perhaps you're set to go into a risky surgery. whatever's going to happen, it could be the very last night you have, whether it's in this city, in this dimension, in this life. how are you going to spend it? will you say your goodbyes to your loved ones, spend time reminiscing, or just go about your everyday life and try not to think about it?

the choice is yours, but you'd better make it soon. you don't have much time left.

[Call it a special talent, but Kanda had snuck out of the uproar that followed after he regained Mugen. No fuss, no muss. Gone to clean the blood from his arms and collect (threaten someone in for) his uniform.

(That annoying chief was going to be worked up for a while now for stupid reasons, anyway.)

In, out. Simple, clockwork. No goodbyes. The way he liked it; like nothing great had happened, like nothing great would happen. Quiet and to the point.

—there's an itch across the new stigmata as he tugs his gloves on in the dark and he makes a faint face (tch) at it, but brushes it aside. That's fine. It's only to last until he can tie up loose ends, anyway.

Movements curt, whatever little back room he's gotten himself ready in down in anals of the China branch only he knows (or Fou, tch. always had a habit of turning up when she wasn't needed), he's ready. Uniformed (habit, his choice, not a badge of office) and moderately cleaned of blood and dirt.

Off to find beansprout—who's gone and conveniently made that difficult for him.

It is, ironically, all small irritations aside... the most peaceable he's felt in a long—long time, though.
