[ running close to thirty minutes late to her date with ire west, barry had promised herself she wouldn't tap into the flash and speed off to the cinema. but when a meta human decides to pop up out of the blue and almost take over a hospital, she has to slip into her suit and run off. what should've been a quick fix lasts longer than she'd like, given the meta human has a few friends neither cisco nor caitlin had accounted for. but everything works out in the end, with minor bruises and scrapes here and there. ]

[ all she cares about is she's late for an incredibly important date. quickly, she flashes into her dress at star labs and tries to strap her heels on while walking as quickly as a human can. ]

[ she forgoes her whole promise, of course. she gets as far as the corridor outside of their main hub before she's wrapped up in that warm kinetic energy and sees her city flash right by her. ]

[ golden electricity crackles outside of the front of the movie theatre as barry allen appears within it. the energy around her dissipates slowly, and she stands, long hair windswept. at least her lacey shoes are tied up. ]
