hurt/comfort smut; meme Bruised. Beaten. Stabbed. Sapped of energy. Tricked. Mentally played and abused. Perhaps you've even seen your home world destroyed, depending on how Homestuck you are. Any way you slice it, characters go through a lot of crap. There's nothing wrong with wanting to see them get pampered and taken care of when they're ailing. In canon, they may not have someone who can provide them with care when they're injured, support and love when they're sick, and physical intimacy all around. In this post, AU or other scenarios can provide them with a caretaking partner of their very own (or, maybe, someone to take care of, if the reverse is their preference). So, for once, weary traveler, you don't have to carry that weight all by yourself.

to bring you out of the darkness; The injury may not be a temporary physical or mental one, however. Some characters suffer more deeply, even if they don't know it. Darkness covers their hearts, they're withdrawn, insecure, angry, or lonely. They need someone to reach out to them and show them unconditional love. This post can provide that, too. Whether it be the cliche and shameless "changed by your love" trope or something more subtle like getting someone to open up, the characters here can offer that and more. [ Shuichi has never in his life wanted to punch so many people out of his way as he barrels down the street. Well... that's a lie. He's wanted to punch a few people who have gone so far as to even say anything bad about Yuki but this is a little different since these people haven't really done anything and are just in his way.

He heard what happened earlier with the publication of Yuki's latest book... basically, the reviews and how UNFAIR they were about it. The fact that Yuki hasn't been in the brightest of spirits as of late (not that something like that is surprising usually) is something that sends Shuichi into a panic and have him zooming out of the convenience store and off towards the blond's place. Maybe if he catches Yuki before he sees the paper he can hide it on him! ...along with every single paper in Japan but hey! He can do it! He knows he can!

With an internal oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god playing over and over again in his head, Shuichi hurls himself into Yuki's apartment and nearly trips over his own feet, bag falling off his shoulder and spilling its contents all over the hardwood floors but he doesn't even care and just zips his way throughout the apartment in search of the blond. ]

[ He slows it down a little once he's more in the apartment, somehow having been able to trip himself out of his shoes in the process. Chewing on his lower lip, he searches the apartment before he finds the blond, eyes nearly bulging out of their sockets when he catches the paper near Yuki. OH SHIT. ]

Oh! Uh... I was just looking for that. [ Pointing to the paper. ] There's... something I need in there, so... I can take that from you, ok?

Jesse had started to notice when Angela wasn't herself. Her bright smiles stopped reaching her eyes, her hair seemed to be less kept, and she never seemed to linger in the company of others longer than was necessary. At first he'd let it go as her mulling over a particular problem in her research, it wasn't uncommon.

But when she'd started avoiding most people in favour for lab time, he knew something was up. It wasn't strictly allowed, and he was sure that Angela would've let him in had he knocked. He didn't give her the option to say no, bypassing the lock on the door to her lab and slipping in to where he knew her living area was.

"Angie, you in here?" He called, not wanting to surprise her too badly but hoping she actually was where he expected her to be.
