[ So Rex has recently become this era's chosen hero, destined to save the world. Two problems. He's as heroic as an unwashed sock and he doesn't know what he's saving it from.

Still, he's a pragmatic sort of fellow and so the plan to start putting together a team to assist him is ongoing. Especially difficult when he's hiding the legendary artefact, the Hero Medal, and its choice to make him the pillar of mankind's hopes... And he's a rather gloomy kid with few resources otherwise.

Somehow though, somehow, he did manage to get an Alchemic Academy student assigned to a little field work mission with him. Good for getting experience, great for education. Plus the Academy gets their pick of the artefacts his treasure hunting would dig up. A little quest, nothing too big. Between his wizardry Reeve's Alchemy they'd done it with relatively little trouble.

I kinda feel like we're cheating here.

and veronica really couldn't be happier about that.
