There's only one thing keeping you from being a jaded, broken husk: you've fallen in love with someone who shares this fate. It's a love so different than the norm, that only those who've known this desolation can fathom. Perhaps they give you hope, they're an innocent worth keeping safe, they showed you unexpected kindness, or they're simply something to cling to. No matter what, you'll protect them and you wouldn't dream of leaving this place without them. They will leave, though...

1. Hell is solitude: Ashley is an abandoned and half-mad young man, formerly a spoiled son of a powerful family, now living amidst the dead, in the ruins of his former life.

2. A realm of monsters: some sort of AU 'hell'. Ashley has a canon fixation upon monsters and the macabre. Perhaps you're both trapped amidst the monsters, or perhaps you are one of the monsters.

3. Hell hath no fury: Ashley as vampire or monster. Your character has wandered into a vast and empty catacombs. Ashley is hungry, lonely, and inclined to collect wayward playthings. Mind that he's still half-mad and naturally on the submissive side.

[ this is k and he's the vocalist and guitarist for hellz, an exclusive rock band in... hell, obviously. but it's buddhist hell, not christian hell.

he's a pretty energetic and eccentric guy! and he'll happily torture just about anyone, but the rare good soul that just ended up in hell on some kind of accident--he'll try to help them as best he can for them to ascend the levels of hell and make it to heaven instead, if not help them be reincarnated.

see, k would try to be reincarnated himself, but he ran out of tries and ended up becoming a demon instead. wouldn't do good to see anyone share the same fate, 'cause as bouncy as he is it took a long time for him to come to terms with the fact that he's stuck in hell forever. ]
