[ It's not so much a well-kept secret as something conveniently downplayed over the course of this trip. If nothing else, Ignis bears some discretion when it comes to matters of importance, like priorities have a cleanly-plotted hierarchy from ensuring the complete welfare of the prince to serving as a chauffeur/cook as the occasion necessitates it. For the most parts, he's kept it very professional, bound by both work ethics and the genuine desire to see their future king to the Oracle and settle this matter with an expediency that manifests itself like symbiosis. Mutual benefit is as altruistic as that: all for one, one for all. Whatever relationship has formed between them largely works to the same degree, and that's something Ignis can live with.

So he has no bone of contention here with Gladio, really, save for his insistence on gorging himself on Cup Noodles day-in and day-out, like his internal clock only runs on cheap carbohydrates packed into a pre-sealed cup and masquerading itself as food. In the midst of setting up camp, Ignis remains very amicable in setting out the ingredients while Gladio pitches the tent. Noctis and Prompto are off on some impromptu photoshoot at the last minute, but they haven't been gone nearly long enough to warrant any valid concerns just yet.

Of course, that brings him to his next point: the food. Right. The food. By some fleeting compulsion, he's compelled to inquire as much from Gladio. ]

Is there anything in particular you had in mind for dinner?

(The observatory deck in the far west wing of the castle wound up sort of becoming Their Spot. It was one of many observatory decks, and it was so far removed from the rest of the castle that the team frequented that they were always left completely alone. It was the first place that Keith had accidentally come across Ulaz, and it was the place where he had finally revealed to Ulaz how deeply his affection for the Galra ran.

And what kind of affection it was.

They bonded in plenty of other places throughout the castle, but it was the observatory deck where they could be open with their feelings. Neither Keith nor Ulaz knew how the rest of Team Voltron would react to their...relationship. There was also the concern of everything that was presently at stake. The idea to keep their relationship private was one that had mutually and instantly been decided upon. Keith didn't like to use the word 'secret'. It made it seem like what he had with Ulaz was dirty or bad in some way. He didn't think it was. Ulaz was...

He was an honorable man. Someone worth respect, worth admiration, and worth so much more than a suicide mission. Keith wasn't ashamed of how he felt towards him, but he knew that it could cause some friction. Friction was the last thing any of them needed right then. After everything was said and done, maybe then he could openly be with Ulaz.

Really though, Keith didn't mind keeping things private. Even if their relationship wasn't riddled with stigmas and cloaked in a war-thick atmosphere, Keith probably wouldn't have gone around parading that he was with the man. It just wasn't who he was. But it would have been nice to not have to worry so much about being caught staring at Ulaz in the control room. Thankfully, whenever Ulaz was in the control room, he was typically talking to the group and Keith had that safe excuse to stare as much as he wanted.

And he stared a lot. He tried not to, but it couldn't be helped. Fascination had turned into an odd sense of attraction, and it was something that still pushed at his mind. Their relationship so far had been nice. They would meet almost every night and talk for hours, sitting closely. Keith would ask Ulaz question after question, and Ulaz eventually did the same. But...That was it. Keith had never been in a relationship, and he really had no idea how Galra romance even functioned. He didn't want to say that their relationship was lacking exactly, but he wasn't sure if it had the romantic...evolution that he had thought it would take on. So on this night when he arrived at the observatory deck, he came with a direct plan of action.

Ulaz was already there. Keith allowed himself a moment to admire his boyfriend (odd as that word was to apply- it somehow felt off) in the starlight that the observatory provided. The wide pane glass windows faced out into that endless space of stars and planets. It really was beautiful. Keith approached, letting his steps be known. Once he was in Ulaz's line of sight, he offered a somewhat shy, tentative smile.)
