[ likely the protector! loving and gentle to who he protects, fierce and angry and merciless to anyone that might hurt them. ryuji's programmed to NEED someone to take care of lest the hatred and violence in his dna take over, so in a way he's also being "protected" himself. ]
let me know if you need any changes! sorry it's so simple :x
((Yooo, if you want we could switch it up and have Kouji doing the physical rescuing this time somehow.))
[ if you don't mind cross-canon/medium? ryuji here's a prodigy and reached university professor status at the age of 21, and i was sort of thinking of him having yokozawa as his former mentee/assistant when he was still in uni, or something like that. given ryuji published a crapton of books, yokozawa could've helped in that department, like making sure his material's ready before sending it to the publishers or something--making sure he meets his deadlines, is eating right, etc.
and yokozawa's graduated and doesn't necessarily work for ryuji any more, but they still keep up here and there like friends? and maybe ryuji's aware of his terrible personal life? and it's a somewhat mutual protectiveness, but takafumi's a lot more concerned about ryuji's life than the opposite, even though ryuji tries to pry or what.
sorry this became long slfja ]

[ Either role is fine with me. ]
[ooc: Yay new muse! Voice testing this bonehead. Very nervous, please be gentle! Definitely the protector. PM me with any questions or to discuss a scenario!]
( he did it because he can't live free any more.
one incident became two became three became many, and quite frankly ryuji can't stand the buckets of blood being poured into his hands after his blackouts any longer. he can't be trusted on his own, nor does he really have anything left to live for; so, too afraid to die, he came here instead.
the process was almost too easy.
a young man of relatively good looks and a subdued personality (which is more exhaustion on ryuji's part than anything else) is apparently worth a lot. while his bounds are heavy, he doesn't mind sitting around, or being touched and examined and checked by strangers' hands. at the very least his life in captivity hasn't brought violence, and that's all that matters.
he hasn't been purchased yet, but it's only been a day. then again, it's not like it really matters--all he needs is the assurance that he won't have any freedom, and maybe he won't be a murderer any more. )

( aka the waitress who the mob wants to swim with the fishes. hearing too much is always the pits.
she's a loyal, patient, long-suffering "girl you've got back home" kinda dame, the one you can take home to mother and will be by your side through thick and thin. also, she's from the 1940s. pretty much. )

ooc: Can go with either.
( either role works! though for protector, generally it wouldn't be an official role, rather something he choose to do himself. )
[Either role is fine. Open to castmates and crosscanon/medium and AU'd scenarios.]
[ most likely the protector, can also be protected if he needs to be taken care of. spoilers are ok, updated w/ ibo s2. ]
[ Either role is fine! ]
