(M/F and can go either way depending on canon points, does ignore the post pit bloodlust in favor of emotional fallout since that arc was one I hated.)
[ As Voltron regains its renown, the occupants of the castleship (along with said castleship) find themselves stretched thin. In an attempt to run away from enemy forces, they had effectively hidden in an asteroid field. Multiple chases and one leap too many through wormholes had drained the ship's crystal quickly, and it needed several days to recover.
Their position and the need to wait isn't what worries Allura.
After the string running and hiding and generally defending the castle, Shiro had returned in a bad shape -- a combination of stress, fatigue, the strains of battle. There is only so much the healing pods can do for the body. Which is why Allura finds herself doing things the "old way" -- cool towels to help lower a fever, making sure Shiro is comfortable. She had only set on her rhythm for the past 24 hours or so, but progress cannot come soon enough... ]

[Most likely the injured one and may have put up a fight if conscious when rescued. Open to canon and cross-canon.]
[ pretty likely she's the one nursing someone back to health in this, but i'm open to either role. ]
