[After Sin was gone, Hei didn't have much to do. He was always a bodyguard, but monster sightings had dropped, leaving him a bit of a bind for cash. How fortunate then that he got a job with training Rikku in combat some more. He already saw how good she was, easily capable of moving underwater more than he ever could. But improvement could always be made. It even worked out for him too as he learned to swim better with her.

But lately, he could feel things growing unusually close. He blocked off such feelings, even ending sessions early if things got too heated. Had to get over that, so he called her out for another round. Outside of needing to push past this, he did need to earn a paycheck.]

She checks the address on her phone again. Well, a phone, her phone by the simple fact that she possess it, not because she truly owns it. “This is fine, right here,” it’s about a half block away from the hotel. Life is easier if Uber drivers don’t actually drop her off in front of a hotel, or motel. People start getting thoughts they have no business thinking when they see a young woman going into a hotel by themselves.

She crosses the lobby like she has done a hundred times before in different places, different continents, for different reasons. That confidence, even when paired with heels and a tight white dress means that she passes without question. Or maybe it’s just easier to turn a blind eye to these types of things.

Before she knocks on the unfamiliar familiar hotel room door, a flutter runs through her. A sick excitement, the thrill of the illicit and forbidden accompanied by a nervousness that the Xanax hasn’t quelled yet. Flexing slightly trembling fingers she finally knocks.
