Most of the time, we RPers hold certain conventions when we play. One of these is that no matter what the medium our characters are from, they are "real" people/aliens/gods/creatures and others will see them as such. But what if it wasn't like that? What if, for a moment, the 4th wall was pulled up and disbelief not suspended?

Or what if our characters were used to that, because they've lived in a world where humans and "toons" exist alongside each other their entire lives?

Well, let's see how it goes!

HOW TO PLAY
1. Comment with your character, putting any preferences somewhere in your comment. Also, you might want to include if your character is a "human" or a "toon." Hyper-realistic drawn or rendered characters can choose either.
2. Other people will respond, rolling the RNG to determine the scenario.
3. Play out the scene!

OPTIONS
1. First Time Meeting- You've heard about them, but you've never met a toon or a human before. How do you respond? Are you fascinated? Freaked out?

2. Coworkers- You know each other in some kind of professional capacity. Interpret that how you want.

3. Friendship- To you, they're not a toon/human. They're just your friend.

4. Hate- Something's happened in your past that's made you wary of toons/humans, but you've been forced somehow to confront the object of your distaste.

5. Romeo and Juliet- Love between humans and toons is not completely unheard of, but it's certainly looked down upon. Can you make your relationship work in a world that doesn't think your feelings are real, especially if your family and friends are against it?

6. Sex- It's not love. You're just having fun, and you want to know what it's like to be with the forbidden fruit. Plus, some of those cartoon women are super hot. Just sayin'

7. Lost Relative- Wait. Your long-lost sister/brother/uncle is a toon/human? How does that work? It's probably better not to ask.

8. Free Space- If you have your own idea, this is the option for you!

( Open to gen, shipping, or smut [f/m] - the latter will involve a good deal of unresolved pining and pained longing, as toons, aka doodles, in her canon cannot have sex with humans lest the universe literally break.

She's a loyal, patient, long-suffering "girl you've got waiting for you" kinda dame, the one you can take home to mother and will be by your side through thick and thin. Also, her 'toon' style sets her during the 1940s. Pretty much. )

[Definitely a toon. His role as Chrom of Ylisse or of the Mirage suits him because his personality is naturally inclined that way. But that doesn't mean that he's not a bit of a goof ball. He's highly affectionate with humans and toons that he gets on well with. The prank he loves the most is trust-falls - in that he doesn't actually drop anyone, but acts like he might.

[I'm fine with all prompts except for 7. No smut with any toon or human under the age (visibly) of 18-ish. Age-ups permitted.]

[There's a small child wandering by their lonesome--a human child, at that. They don't seem to react much to their zany surroundings, especially since this is a fast food place usually occupied by toons. They dig out the coins from their pockets, counting them over carefully before placing them on the table. Where had they been collecting these pennies?]

...I'd like one large Glamburger please.

[Uh did anyone lose a human kid?

Burgerpants twists his head around before the rest of him quickly follows in a snap, slipping his hand over the cash.]

SURE! One Glamburger for the....kid.

[He looks unsure like Frisk os something they hadn't seen often or at least something that didn't come often. He brings a burger to slide over.]

Well HERE YOU GO! HAVE A SWELL DAY!

[Here it's obvious it is not a swell day.]

[Frisk quietly takes the burger. It truly did live up to its name; the burger is not only purple, it's literally made of sequins and glitter. Hey, if toons can eat it, so can they. They chew thoughtfully. Frisk was never allowed to have food cooked by toons; they're not sure why. They don't have a strong opinion on the burger either way.]

You look pretty stressed out.

[Matter-of-fact. He really did, though, and Frisk can't help worrying.]

[It's truly a colorful and glamorous burger. But to Burgerpants it's a rather dull food after seeing it day after day.

His eyes glance to the human.]

...me? Hey, I'm just here to make sure you have a FANTASTIC day!

No one's heckled you or anything? I heard working in fast food can be rough.

[You know that dream some kids have about wishing they worked at their favorite fast food place, before the ugly teeth of reality sinks in when they reach their teens?

Frisk isn't like most kids.]

[Just look at those noodle arms. Obviously a toon no matter how much he wants to be human.]

[A subgenre of toon that could pass for human if it weren't for the tendency to chibi when he gets excited. Such is the life of an anime.]
