Out of everyone from his past, Billy has no idea why he finds Faraday first.

He assumed it would be Goody, honestly. From the moment his memories started to return, he had been expecting to turn around and find Goody in his current, 21st century body looking back at him. Maybe, he thought after the first month of no leads, maybe it might be Sam. But only on his way to finding Goody since he had to assume in this life, just like in the last, those two would find each other first. But that wasn't what happened. No. For whatever reason, when Billy walks into a (frankly ridiculous) western-themed bar, it's Faraday's face he picks out of the crowd almost as soon as he walks in.

Well, he decided as he started to make his way over. Maybe he had a bit more luck. If he'd even started to remember anything at all. Billy crosses the room in a few even steps, trying to look as nonchalant as possible in case Faraday has no idea who he is. He's held onto a fair bit of his knife tricks from the old world. He'd hate to be on the bad side of this man if he held onto his gun tricks as well. So, instead, he simply sidles up, looking at the bartender more than at Faraday, snatching glances from the mirror whenever he can.

It's definitely Faraday. Definitely. So with a small clearing of his throat and an order of whiskey on the rocks, he turns his head and lets out a small, unimpressed sniff as his eyes rake over the place. All the crap on the walls. All the pretend cowboys without even a speck of dirt on their boots. He sniffs again and finally moves to test the water.

"This place is straight up bullshit, isn't it?"

[They're sitting on the couch, playing video games, and once again, Prompto is hit with the feeling of deja vu. It's so familiar, it hurts, and not because they'd been friends for years. Ever since he was little, he'd get these strange familiar feelings. They became stronger in his history class, when the subject came up about the king that ended the royal line and the struggles he went through. Which was strange because that was like hundreds of years ago now. If it weren't for digitalized evidence of scanned pictures and reports, even daemons would have been considered mythical for as much as they were seen now.

So why did he feel like he knew what happened on a much closer level? Why did he get so emotional with the sad story? Maybe he was just a weirdo. Anyway, that's why he never mentioned these feelings to anyone else before. Not even to his best friend, who also seemed to be a trigger for his familiar feelings. Sometimes he'd even get glimpses of a different apartment with a different layout and older-styled furniture.
