winter is a lingering season

  it's quiet
and the snow's beautiful tonighta winter open meme

snowfall;

    stage i; none, streets are already blanketed in white.
    stage ii; very light and intermittent.
    stage iii; light - moderate. lasts longer periods.
    stage iv; continuous, heavy snowfall.
    stage v; the hardest of cores - blizzards, snowstorms, you name it.

scenarios;

    ① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on.

    ② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do?

    ③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all.

    ④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!

    ⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket.

    ⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips.

    ⑦ mix and match, or make up your own ‧:❉:‧

Yeah, I know.

[ It's never put Ignis off before, then or now. Or ever, probably. Couldn't even imagine what actually could put him off, really. Which is comforting, and in a way, Noct's come to expect it like one would expect sunrise, even in moments of Ignis' hypothetical sickness. Hah. ]

Gladio would have us eat cup noodles until you recovered. And I'm not letting Prompto cook. [ And the last time Noct tried to cook without instruction, well... ]

Indeed. I believe we'd all be sick of cup noodles before the end of our adventure.

[Ignis wouldn't allow them to bear witness to that. As for Prompto cooking...]

Prompto wouldn't know which end of the knife to use. He's too inexperienced to be let loose in a kitchen.

[ Noct tucks his hands into his pockets, tucks his chin down into the collar of his jacket. He holds still for as long as it takes for him to be able to speak without shivering, because if he shivers, it's highly likely that he'd be marched right back into the tent and-- not yet. He doesn't want to leave, just yet. ]

You could always teach him. [ There's a thought. ] Who knows? He might just surprise you, then we'd have a back-up cook on hand.

I suppose that option is available to us. Although, I'd much rather teach you, your Highness, since you have an apt for fishing also. Add that and cooking and you could become a skilled fish chef.

[At least Ignis thought so. Was it not befitting of a prince to do some cooking? Then again, he did enjoy fishing.]
