EVERY ACT BASED IN TRUTH IS A CONFESSION; EVERY CONFESSION IS AN ACT BASED IN TRUTH.
![]() CONFESSIONS MEME We all know the typical kind of confession. I love you, I'm pregnant, I slept with your sister, whatever. This is the place for that, sure. But what about other confessions? Ones that are life-changing in different ways? Are you secretly a criminal? A monster? A "monster"? Are you confessing to murder? To taking the last cookie? Is it a false confession? Are you confessing because it's the right thing to do? Because you felt guilty? Because you got caught red-handed? Because someone is forcing you to? Are you confessing to a lover? A friend? An enemy? The cops? Batman? Are we ever going to stop asking questions? |

None of which gave him a full picture but he was willing to keep working with that.
The handshake offer seemed familiar though and Shiro met it with his own hand. His hand that, hidden under the layers of his armor and uniform was the metal of Galra tech. Because while the being seemed friendly, a palm full of glowing color could mean anything and, under its glove, Shiro's metal hand was much more equipped to deal with anything dangerous.]
Shirogane Takashi. Call me Shiro.

[Jio gave a nod and a firm handshake, glad that the way of greeting seemed to be the same for the both of them. If the handshake would have been rejected then he wasn't sure of what he would have done. Now he felt more at ease, but it wasn't cause to let down his guard. Just because the other seemed friendly right now did not necessary mean that he were. Still Jio felt willing to give Shiro the benefit of the doubt. No need to judge him before he had done anything.]
While I did not expect to find anyone here, I'm still glad that I did.
[While he had not arrived here alone, the others could not be considered great company since they were asleep and just knowing that someone else were out there helped a lot. Jio did not like to admit it out loud, but he hated to be alone. Being alone led him to dark places that he desperately needed to stay away from.]

I feel the same. Glad you showed up. I was getting lonely talking to myself. How are your supplies? I haven't got much but I'll share what I do have if you need it.

[Jio looked down for a second, thinking about all the lives that had been lost on the ship. He knew that nothing could have prevented those deaths as soon as the Armageddon program had started, but it did not make him feel any better. If only he had not lost that legendary o-part to begin with then the program would have been unable to start completely.]
If you want to you can come with me and search through the ship.

it's possible its a trap. But Shiro has a few tricks up his sleeve if it is and so far he hasn't gotten any indication that the stranger is aware of who he is or what he is or has any reason to want to trap him. He learned his lesson with Rollo but he also knows that's a small part of a very large galaxy. And he is curious about the ship and more than willing to help if there's any way he can. So he nod and smiles again.]
Sure. Be happy to help. [He lets the other man lead and asks:] Sounds like the ship is new to you. How'd you end up with it?
no subject
Through a series of events that mainly had to do with us trying to keep the keys to a dangerous weapon away from the last owner of Shin.
[Jio looked around to find a good way back up into the ship. Sure he could probably make it if he jumped, but he had no idea if that would be true for the other. But he did find a few big rocks that were placed perfectly to form a kind of stair and make the distance of the jump more manageable.]
That kind of failed so there was nothing to do but to enter Shin to stop it from consuming the planet.
no subject
And it apparently destroys planets?
That's not a comforting thought.
Neither is the thought that if they had to keep the keys to it away from a previous owner that means the previous owner might still be looking for it.
At least the current owner seems intent on keeping that from happening? Shiro makes the climb up the rocks to join Jio.]
Was destroying the ship out of the question? If it consumes planets I mean.

[Jio effortlessly took the jump from the rocks and into the open door, stepping back to give Shiro room to make the jump as well. It should be doable even for someone lucky enough to not have had his crazy teacher. Or teachers as none of them could be considered normal.]
Shin have been excavated twice what I know of and survived me crashing it into this rock of a planet.

What about driving it into a sun?
no subject
[There were two paths to take and Jio took the right one. The left he knew led to the bridge and there had been no food over there, that he had concluded from the brief look he took earlier.
So the right corridor it was and as Jio walked he tried to ignore the uniforms that were strew around randomly.]
no subject
or it's a hint as something darker and he hasn't forgotten Jio's reason the ship needs to be destroyed in the first place. He keeps his hands to himself as they walk.]
If you had a second ship, you could get close enough for gravity to pull this one in and leave on the other. [Supposition at this point considering they're both grounded and not getting airborne much less near a sun in the immediate future. He steps over another uniform and asks:]
How does the ship - run its program?
no subject
If. There is no other o-part on my planet that can take space travels. Unless it would be hidden away in one of the ruins. [That is an option. Not that he dared to bring Shin back without being completely sure of that the Armageddon program would not start up again.]
I can only tell you what I do know myself about the Armageddon program.
First of it needs both the Formal and Reverse Kabbalah to even start. Those can be gathered together with the keys that got stolen from me. The first step of the program is then to collect any Recipes that the Kabbalah haven't already absorbed and there is no escaping it no matter what those people or cores might be. With all twenty together the main objective of the Armageddon program starts. To collect all life on the planet and take away their form, making everyone into one unity. No individual ideas, dreams or anything, just a spiritual mass of information.
I corrupted the program by removing one of the Recipes. In doing so Armageddon can't complete itself. It will still claim nearly all life of the planet, only leaving behind 666 lifeforms. And that is why I teleported the ship here. Not enough life for it to absorb.

What a horrible ship. And who had thought building it, however long ago it had been built, had been a good idea? It sounded like Jio's quick thinking had saved a world.
The main question though is:]
So what are you going to do now?
no subject
The plan is to disconnect the joined Kabbalah completely, wake up my friends and find a way back home.
[It sounded so simple, but it wasn't simple at all. Jio let out a sigh. It would have been much better if Cross had been able to control Shin as he knew some of the things the ship could do.
The corridor took a turn and a door could be seen a few feet ahead. Knowing how the door panel worked this time around, Jio put his hand on it and put in the combination he had figured out after a while.
The door opened up to a big room that showed signs of having been repaired at some point. The only thing in it were a huge, empty pod and a sign over it with the word FREEDOM written on it.]
...This is? No it can't be...
no subject
well, Shiro recognizes what's in the room in the vaguest of senses but it's pretty apparently his companion recognizes a great deal more. Brows coming down, Shiro asks:]
What's going on?
no subject
[Even as he said that, Jio moved further into the room, placing his hand on the glass of the pod. The pod buzzed to life upon his touch and a voice filled the room.]
Scanning Freedom program... Scanning complete, corruption detected. Preparing containment and reconstruction of program.
WHAT?
[The pod opened itself and some tentacle like arms came out grabbing him. Jio struggled to get them off, but they refused to let go. The best he could do was to keep himself from being pulled into the pod.]
Shin update information about the Freedom program! The Freedom program is the Recipe of 1i!
Processing information... Update complete.
[The arms let go of him and Jio were quick to grab Shiro's wrist and get out of the room, closing the door and marking it with an X. No way was he risking going in there again.]
