 THE HELPING HAND MEME

 

 

 

Grab a die and roll for (or simply choose) a scenario, then post with your character, fandom, and a predicament that your character needs a hand with! (Now With Expanded Options!)

 

1) Stranded!

You're stuck somewhere! Your car broke down, your bike lost a wheel, your bi-plane was dismantled by ninja bears, you were chased up a tree by protesters. Can somebody help you get on your way?

2) Stumped! 

You've got a mystery on your hands! A murder? A missing pet? Someone ate the cookies from the cookie jar? Anything! But you're going to need a hand to find out who did it!

 

3) Museless! 

Your project isn't going well, writers/artists/inventors block has you banging your head against a wall! Won't someone come along and be your muse, or even just help you take a break for a while?

 

4) Overwhelmed!

You're overburdened! You're carrying more groceries than you can hold onto, staring at a huge pile of paperwork, your car is buried under more snow than you could move in a lifetime, everything just went wrong at once! You can't do this all by yourself!

 

5) Injured!

You've fallen and you can't get up, you stepped on a rake, you fell down the stairs, your arm is stuck in a vending machine. You'll be okay, probably, but ow that really hurt! You could use a hand patching up!

6) Broken!
Oh god you broke it! That thing! That important thing! Your mom's glass vase, dad's car, boss's computer, teammate's prized one of a kind weapon. Somebody better help you fix it before the person it belongs to gets home!

7) Lost! 
Where the hell ARE you? Maybe you shouldn't have taken that left turn at Albuquerque? None of the streets are recognizable, you're not even sure you're in the right universe anymore. Directions? Anybody?
 

8) Wildcard!

Pick any of the above or something totally different, as long as your character could really do with an extra person to help them out!

[Toni Stark is a ridiculously smart lady, she knows how to do pretty much anything. Shopping in a foreign city with no map or GPS though? That's still a bit of challenge, at least once it comes time to try to get back to the hotel]

[It's not every day anyone gets to see Jackson Whittemore at his wits end. Except, lately? For Stiles, that's actually kind of been the case, and as much as he really, really wants to feel awesome and a lot better about his own currently-insane-thank-you-you-big-dumb-werewolves life, watching the teeter totter of Jackson's textbooks and his collection of lacrosse gear finally give way to an avalanche of crap at his feet? Not as satisfying as Stiles thought it ought to be.

It doesn't help that Jackson has pretty much perfected the kicked puppy look, definitely relieved Scott of that title for sure. And Stiles may grit his teeth and question his choices in life until he goes mad, but for now, he's begrudgingly walking over to scoop up the books that scattered the farthest away and carefully smoothing out the pages where they've been bent under. That's the easy part-- what's hard is his attempt to look as innocent as possible, because this is kind of the perfect moment to mock Jackson forever and Stiles has already committed himself to not being a total dick.]
