[The life of a possession that came too late to do anything meaningful for the one who loved them so dearly.

Fudou was a little startled when Hasebe's lips started moving against his own. He was expecting more of a peck and then Mr Master's pet to hurry off to do some great feat while Fudou drank more eggnog and probably goofed around with some other swords. But he would not be outdone by Hasebe in something as easy as this! So he wrapped his slender arms around his neck and pulled closer as he tried to add more passion to the kiss.]

[Hasebe has feelings. Conflicting ones. But they're not about Fudou. He hasn't done a damn thing wrong here, and he can kindly stop being sad for a few minutes while Hasebe kisses him.

Or, apparently, they kiss each other. Which is odd, but fine, and Hasebe finds himself at the very least enjoying it. However, he won't be outdone either. He slides his hand to Fudou's cheek and tips his head, deepening the kiss beyond what's totally standoffish and proper.]

[A small shiver rolled down Fudou's spine as he felt Hasebe's hand run along his cheek before he deepened the kiss. Too stubborn to back down now, Fudou parted his lips to brush his tongue against Hasebe's. Good luck topping that.

[Don't... push him too far.

But, well, he's in too deep already. He wants to pull back and recoil and end it, but maybe part of him is thinking this will kick the self-pity for a bit so he won't have to listen to it. Maybe it'll even sober Fudou up a bit. Maybe. Probably not.

And... that is a tongue. Hasebe freezes for a split second before his own lips part and this gets marginally scandalous. There are, in fact, tongues involved, Hasebe's light and testing.]

[Fudou's heart start fluttering wildly in his chest when he felt Hasebe's tongue brush against his. Fudou hadn't thought Hasebe would respond in that way, he had expected Hasebe to push him away and he'd laugh at him for not being able to handle an 'adult' kiss.

But now he was the one who was starting to get flustered which meant that Hasebe would be the one laughing at him.]

[Hasebe, if he notices the fluster, says and does nothing. He'll keep things as they are once they reach a nice middle ground, though it seems they're both testing each other. A few moments more, and he breaks the kiss a small distance.]

There.

[Fudou was annoyed that once again, Hasebe had won. Once again he was the one left speechless.

He eventually caught his breath/bearings.]

You don't have to look so smug, Hasebe. It wasn't so impressive.

[Hasebe didn't win! He considers this pretty equitable! Fudou what is your malfunction.

It's pretty clear from the slight pink in his cheeks that Hasebe is, in retrospect, a little embarrassed. What was he thinking?]

I'm... not smug.

[Bad coping skills and being jealous that he wasn't Nobu's lover and was instead given to Nobu's lover.

Fudou smirks a little when he realizes he was as flustered as Fudou was.]

You gettin flustered, Hasebe?
