The Love Potion Number 9 Meme

Congratulations, you've been chosen to participate in an experiment for GREAT SCIENCE! You've gotten one trial sized spritz bottle of a 'love potion'. Take it and see how it goes, just be sure to report back the effects at the end of the day. This is for science, after all.

Note: We are not responsible for any ill effects of using these potions, you accept full responsibility for any actions taken by you or others due to the effects of the experiment.

Steps:

#1: Post with your character name and fandom, include your preferences and what potions you'd rather not deal with (or would really like to)
#2: Optionally include if you'd rather be the one to take the potion or the one being affected.
#3: Others post and roll or choose a potion!
#4: They may or may not have realized they're part of the experiment, it's up to you.
#5: See where it goes - the effects tend to last a few hours to a day.

Love Potion #

1 - Intrigue - There's just something about this person once they introduced themselves that made you curious, and now you'd like to know more about them by any means necessary. Questioning, interrogation, or more extreme methods, you want answers and you want them now.
2 - Obedience - Anyone who hears you will be compelled to listen to anything you say. You're that persuasive.
3 - Truth - It just wouldn't feel right not to answer any question you ask, you're just too nice. And you certainly can't lie. It's one hundred percent truth time.
4 - Stalker - They had you at hello. And like any give and take, you have them. No one else should even be allowed to look at them, whether they like it or not.
5 - Repulsion - Ugh. They might have been okay at first but as soon as they opened their mouth stupid came out and now you can't even stand to look at them. Or think about them. Or maybe even know they're breathing.
6 - Trust - There's something about the way they speak that makes you sure you could trust this person with absolutely anything. Your life, your deepest, darkest secrets, difficult choices...not so difficult choices. They don't have to ask, you're there for them because you know they'll be there for you.
7 - Lust - You might not have noticed at first, but as soon as they speak pure animal attraction takes over. You absolutely must have them right now and nothing is going to get in the way. Certainly not little things like walls and locked doors or not knowing the person or whether or not they're interested.
8 - Obsession - No matter what you might have thought of them before, once they spoke you realized...these people are the perfect beings. There's no words for how amazing they are. You love, love, love them! You'll do anything for them just to see them smile or just to be there or just to hear them speak. You positively adore them in every possible way that a person can adore someone else..
9 - True Feelings - Nothing's changed at all except that everything that's been in the way, whatever excuses or obstacles you've had between loving or hating this person is gone, and it's time to act on that.
10 - Mystery - It's never been tested before. Anything could happen! (Pick one or make one up!)

[ Pulling himself up to sit on the counter, his plate balanced on his knee. ]

Mm.

[ Derek grins ever so slightly as he turns back to the stove, pouring in more batter and repeating the same process again and again until it's all gone. It totals out to about 6 large pancakes. ]

[studmuffin]

[ He grins happily. ]

You're totally my favourite right now.

[sassywolf]

[ Derek's finally digging into his own plate. ]

I wasn't before?

[studmuffin]

[ P a u s e. Fork midway to his mouth. ] Did you just make a joke?

[sassywolf]

I may have.

[ And shovelling a forkful of chocolate chip pancakes into his mouth. ]

[studmuffin]

[ His grin is stupid and pleased for the moment. ]

The world must be ending.

[sassywolf]

[ He shrugs and chews, all too content to care if it is. This was definitely the most relaxed Derek had been in years. He didn't feel an urge to bare his teeth at Stiles or fight him on anything. If anything, he was almost compelled to share with him all his thoughts and questions. It was strange. There was probably something wrong but Derek was enjoying himself. ]

[ Stiles is pretty much shovelling food into his mouth like the ridiculous idiot he is. He has to stop being an obnoxious jerk. But he can't help himself, they're delicious, and Derek's in his space with little to no threatening. ]

It's okay, I won't tell anyone that you've managed to crack a joke. But if there's a smile lurking under there I might swoon.

[sassywolf]

[ Derek was still chewing and shovelling more pancake into his mouth because one, he was hungry and two, these were really good. He gave Stiles a look that said 'There might be' and in truth there was but he didn't want to break from the eating to verbalize. ]

[studmuffin]

[ Smile for him Derek.

He just hums, still chewing, pancake quickly disappearing into the bottomless abyss of Stiles Stilinski. ]

[sassywolf]

[ There's a slight upturn at the corner of his mouth, lasting only a moment before fading back into the food eating. ]

[studmuffin]

[ He's glad it's only small, he might have had a heart attack. He goes back to watching Derek as he eats, curious but content enough for the moment. ]

[sassywolf]

[ Once Derek finishes off the plate, he adds it to the sink and wonders for a moment if he should do the dishes. ]

[studmuffin]

Huh. No.

[ Waving him off, hip checking him out of the way. ] House rules. Guests don't wash up.

[sassywolf]

[ He lets out a small snort. ]

So I'll just sit here and watch you then, is that it?

[studmuffin]

Sure.

[ He grins though. ] You can just sit there and look pretty.

[sassywolf]

You know there is more to life than just being really, really ridiculously good looking, right?

[studmuffin]

Well yeah, because I'm not.

[sassywolf]

[ Derek rolled his eyes. ]

[studmuffin]

[ Rolling them back. ]

Shut up, let me wash up. You're ruining the glow of delicious pancakes.

[sassywolf]

I'd be concerned if there was an actual glow to those pancakes. [ He commented, leaning against the counter and letting out a yawn. A small portion of his brain was trying to rouse concern at the situation and how comfortable he was with Stiles, but the rest of him couldn't be bothered to care because... He trusted him and this was the most relaxed he'd been in years without thoughts of his family or Kate plaguing him every two seconds. ]

[studmuffin]

[ He's just laughing silently to himself even as he fills the sink with water and soap, grabbing the pan to wash up. He hums as he works, foot tapping lightly on the kitchen floor. ]

[sassywolf]

[ Derek keeps a fond eye on Stiles, taking in this strangely domestic situation and he gets the urge to hold him, sway with him and... ]

I want to kiss you.

[studmuffin]

[ He drops the plate he's waving, sloshing water over the bowl and stepping back to avoid the spill. He ends up looking at Derek, mouth open slightly. He wants to say yes, he wants to let it happen.

But is he taking advantage?

Would Derek even want to without whatever is affecting him? ] I --.
