LET ME TEACH YOU MEME Everyone has something to offer. Everyone has at least one skill they can teach someone else, be it rocket science, impeccable baking, or kindness. This meme is to encourage both canon-mate and cross-canon tagging by having characters offer a skill they can teach in their top level and then instruct the characters that reply to them. It can be a fun learning experience for everyone! As they say, sometimes the teacher can learn from the student. An example format for a comment subject line would be this: CHARACTER NAME | CANON | SUBJECT THEY CAN TEACH. • Top level your character. Include any details you might think are relevant, including what they can teach! Or don't. As always, we're not the cops. But you probably should. • Reply to other people's top levels! • Have fun!

He's always been good at schooling his expressions. At playing to what's expected of him. Early on, it hadn't been playing. Or at least, the beliefs hadn't. They're still there, really. Ingrained like he's been taught. That's neither here nor there, though: it's the methods that are distasteful to him and he never wanted to hurt anyone. Even his parents, far deeper into their beliefs than he, had been shocked by the things expected of him. And there's a lot expected of him, being the youngest.

That hasn't stopped him from doing any of it, of course. It's just that lately he's been having doubts. Thoughts that he doesn't want broadcast to anyone that would turn him in. One doesn't simply leave the Death Eaters because one finds murder and torture distasteful, after all.

Regulus trusts Severus. Perhaps this in itself is a mistake but he does anyway; he's never been given a reason not to. So maybe it will be all right to ask him without raising suspicion.

Things are quiet in HQ today, which suits him. It's not a good place to talk about it at length, but it is the best place to get someone's attention. Lately they're all like ships passing in the night unless they're heading out together but this time, Regulus pauses when he sees him.

"Severus."

He's one of the few that gets called by his first name, anyway.

[Mabel cannot believe her luck. She gets to learn magic!!! It's like all her dreams come true! Except she already had kind of used magic before, but it doesn't count if it's just from an amulet you took off some creep who wanted to be your boyfriend. Besides, she destroyed that amulet, and now she's learning magic she can do with her brain.

But first, she's learning how to do stitches, because she managed to fall over and bash her head open when she was running around in the temple, and now she has a couple stitches behind her ear and Dr. Strange is teaching her how to do sutures because apparently she's a menace.]

Why can't I just put people back together with magic? [She's eyeing the chicken they got from the supermarket, rolling her suture between her fingers. Dr. Strange said they had to work with something that was kind of close to human skin, so animal skin would have to work, but she feels that this chicken would be better if they ate it.]
