[All his tension coils and releases, their fingers twining together easily as Eggsy admits that he wants this as much as Harry does. He continues, voicing things that Harry's never allowed himself to say, hardly ever letting himself think as well.

Harry's lips press into a firm line, silently weighing the outcomes of this conversation and what it could mean for them, more pointedly for Eggsy. Harry has long since developed the viewpoint that Eggsy might well be the best person he's ever been fortunate enough to meet, in more ways than he can count. Kind, generous, and determined to name a few.

He understands, in that moment, that his feelings are stronger and more deeply rooted than he'd ever thought they could possibly be. Soulmates and their marks were tricky, fickle beasts and he'd begun to assume that he'd missed his chance with his own - he'd almost completely moved past the notion, accepting that it wasn't his lot in life. But here he sits, no longer a young man, overwhelmed with just how much he cares for Eggsy and optimistically considering a future that he'd thought lost to him.]

I didn't complain because there was no reason to. I wanted you here, whether I'd extended an invitation or not.

[Then, briefly, and for the first time, Harry doesn't think of the mark on his arm, the numbers or what they mean for either of them.]

If you were mine, Eggsy, I'd do everything within my control to make you happy.

[He glances down, tracking the movement of Eggsy's thumb, and back up again, meeting eyes that can never seem to make up their minds on whether they want to be more green or more blue.]

I fucking love you.

[The hand on his watch ticks - it's 09:16.45.]
